Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs Quite Small These pants run very small. I couldn't even come close to buttoning them in front. I bought several other pairs of pants the same day in the same size in other brands and they all fit fine. Since I ordered them on line I couldn't exchange them for another pair so I returned them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite pants I really needed a ton of pants at once so I purchased from a total of 5 brands, including JCPenney, Haggar, Geoffrey Beene, and Perry Ellis, . From JCPenney I purchased two types: This one, and Stafford Textured Stripe Flat-Front Dress Pants (web ID 5565018). Of all the pants that I received, my favorite was this one and my second favorite was the textured stripe pant from JCPenney. The JCPenney pants have a better cut than other pants that I received: The leg isn't as baggy and it hangs better. I would also say that relative to the other brands, the size 36 is a bit skinnier than what I got from the other brands. I don't know which is more accurate. The finish and quality of these JCPenney pants was also among the best that I received. Lots of little details taken care of well in the sewing. I also like the material on both types of JCPenney pants. This is where this pant was a little better than the model 5565018. Although this pant is 100% polyester, it feels luxurious, a little like a nice wool pant. The 5565018 has a bit of a rough texture, almost like the old Swedish knit fabrics. I don't have a problem with texture in pants, but the texture in the 5565018 isn't really that nice in my opinion. Somehow the textured pant is also a bit hotter and less breathable, it seems like. After trying a lot of brands and models, this is my favorite pant for work.

Description VS Images

How accurately do the pants compare to their respective pictures? Descriptions like "micro stripe" and "herringbone" are hard to see in the pictures. Are these simply stock photos of other products or actual images of the pants and their design/texture?

I bought the Stafford® Travel Stone Suit Jacket, thinking that the pants and jacket would be matching in color. They were not, although they were both the stone color. Other than that, the pants were fine.

what kind of clasp does the waist have? button or hook and eye.

Do these pants have a button at the waist? or is the hook and eye (bar) clasp. Getting them for an elderly man who has issues with buttons.
