Rated 4 out of 5 by Esquire187 Ok belt
The belt is nice and looks nice. However, the braided portion is not leather but synthetic. Fits good. Just missed that it is not all leather. Have to see how it holds up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scorpion Stretchy and handsome
Love these belts, for their comfort (stretchy) and good looks. Previously owned similar belts from other brands/retailers but could not find replacements. I finally found these Stafford stretchy braided belts at jcp.com. They are of much better quality and reasonably priced compared to my previously owned belts.

My boyfriend had a braided belt that he adored and wore for years. When it broke, I thought I would replace it. We looked high and low and found it on line at JCPenney's. It was the perfect replacement, and I ordered an extra one just to keep on hand.
We found the belt we wanted at other department stores, but they were cost prohibitive. Not only did JCPenney have the belt he wanted, but it was at an excellent price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chichi better sizing chart needed
As a woman, I was unaware that belts should be bought bigger. This should be clearer when ordering and there should be a suggested sizing chart based on the man's waist size.

After hunting for a belt for my husband I ordered this one as he is between sizes and basically has no hips. He needed a belt with a bit of elastic and wanted one that had actual holes for the tang of the belt to fit into. Surprisingly this belt fits nice and is a higher middle class style and quality. I purchased it in two colors (a black and brown) and the brown is rich enough that it looks pretty good for most occasions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by coach Belts are comfortable but do show wear a little faster than normal
The belts are comfortable and neat looking. I have been wearing them for a few years. The only dissatisfaction with them is the color sometimes wears off the vinyl weave edges in spots a little easier than a regular belt. In addtion, I have had the elastic cord, which is woven in the belt, break loose from its anchor point. You can still wear the belt but have to deal with tucking in the end or cutting it off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Idontknownickname A good price but the belts are not top notch
I really like this style of belt and they're getting harder and harder to find. I ordered two different colors of this belt and while the price was right, I doubt that the belts will stand the test of time.
First of all, they run large. I guess when you order online, it's tough to know this but a word to the wise. Second, the leather feels more like plastic. I've had enough belts over the last years to fell pretty sure that the belts will have short lives.
I've ordered belts in the past like this from upscale providers with mixed results. So this isn't something that's specific to Penney's.

My husband loves the look of braided belts. He has purchased Dockers braided belts for years. We decided to try a Stafford one this time since the Dockers wear out within a year's time. The reason they wear so soon is that the prong of the buckle goes into the braided strand and the leather strips are not strong enough to take the stress. The Stafford belt has a leather tab sewn onto the braid so the buckle prong goes into a punched hole instead of just into the braided strands. We are pleased to report that it has outlasted a year now and is still going strong.
