Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive product I like the fit for a big guy. The checkered pattern goes great my black or gray pants. I can wear it as a dress shirt or go sporty and add some white pants and sandals or sneakers for a night at the shore. I lucked up on this shirt. I already had one in the slim cut but I didn't wear it due to my plump stomach and the shirt pulled when I sat down, not anymore. JCP comes through again and at an affordable price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality and no iron It's nice to have some different patterns/colors to choose from in slim-fit. These last long and are easy to clean. Kind of pricey but great on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shirt, sale or no sale Stafford shirts are amazing!! Whether they are on sale or not, they are a great purchase. Great styles, great fit, great selections. Overall, very happy with these shirts. Ever since I started wearing Stafford shirts, I haven't worn anything else. Would recommend to any one who wants to feel comfortable while looking good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from JCP quality continues to go downhill I've been buying these shirts since 1997, and for many years they were worth every penny. But just like JCP brand under-shirts and jeans, the quality has deteriorated. Does anyone know where else I can buy athletic cut shirts?

What is the difference between Stafford's fitted and athletic sized shirts?

Asked by: April
Our Athletic Fit is for guys who have a more muscular upper-body and need more room in the shoulders, chest, and arms, but still need a fitted shirt that tapers to their waist. Cut with a broader yoke and larger armholes to fit a more muscular physique, athletic fit men's dress shirts have a fitted, tapered waist that differentiates them from full-cut dress shirts with the same neck size and sleeve length. Although not all manufacturers carry this fit, those that do are worth finding for men with muscular physiques. When a shirt is labeled traditional fit, it has side seams that are straight or only slightly tapered at the waist. Some manufacturers taper the waist more than others, so it is wise to try on the shirt or pay close attention to waist measurements when buying a shirt with a traditional fit. Many traditional fit shirts feature box pleats at the base of the yoke for more comfortable movement. This silhouette may also be called a straight fit, classic fit, or natural fit.
