by jkevind63 Curtain Panels are threadbare
I purchased 2 of the McKenna curtain panels in the store and ordered 2 online from JCP.com. All 4 panels have multiple areas that are threadbare. They are advertised as room darkening but with the threadbare areas the light shines through. The quality is very poor and I would not recommend these curtains to anyone.

We purchased 4 panels. 3 panels will need to be returned due to localized stretching of fabric, which looks terrible with back lighting (like in morning with curtains closed). Problem appear to be caused by the panel being folded up too tight on the cardboard. Otherwise, the fabric hangs well and appearance is good when drawn aside. Check in store to avoid extra trip to store.

I've bought many blackout curtains before and knew these wouldn't be completely blackout but I was just hoping they would help with the light. The sun shines through my windows during the hottest time of the day, from 3-7pm, and living in Texas the temperature can get up to 100 degrees. So I needed curtains that would help with the hot sun light that would be coming in.
So far these curtains have lived up to their exceptions. There is some light that come through but not much more than I expected. I bought the 'very natural' color and it was a just a tiny bit darker than expected but not bad enough to return. When buying something online you always have to be a little flexible because pictures can only say so much. Overall, this is a good product!

After reading the reviews that mentioned problems with the fabric where the curtains had been folded, I was hesitant to try these. After purchasing some navy panels, I held them up to the window and could see what those customers were talking about; the weave had stretched out around the corners of the cardboard packaging, letting in noticeable pin pricks of light. However, I simply pushed the threads of the fabric back together with my fingernails in those few areas, and the weave went right back into place. It was an easy fix that only took a second. No more light or unevenness was visible. They looked great after ironing, and my son is very happy with the way they block out the morning light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LuvJCP Great look but some issues
I love the way the curtains look and they also help block the afternoon sun. However, I have bought curtains from JCP for years and this is the first time that I have actually had a complaint but almost every panel had a threadbare place. It looked like the packaging and maybe cheaper fabric might have created the problem because the threadbare places were located in the approximate same area on every panel. I did not return them because I purchased extra panels to make sure I had thick full coverage for a whole wall of windows and the places were not as visible once hung.

I bought this drape panel before I see the reviews. The reviews said there were flaws and they were right. I opened 2 of the 4 panels I bought. Each panel had multiple flaws. It looked like the material was pulled in several places on each panel. I never opened the other 2 and returned them for a better quality panel.

I recently purchased four pair of drapes. The sales person was exceptional and assisted me with what I needed. Love the look and would recommend these drapes to my friends and neighbors.

My only mistake was that I forgot to order two panels...so didn't get the great sale price that I did on the first one! But still worth the combined cost.
