Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product, but controls could be improved. When I purchased this item, it listed dual controls. One of the reviews was negative regarding that, so I called Penneys, the rep said just what the product description listed, and he said if it was not, we could return the product. It does have dual controls, but on one wireless control. It does seem difficult to satisfy both users, and when testing to see if control is working, the base unit is under the bed where you cannot see it tell what is and is not working! Seems like there could be improvement there. It heats wonderfully, and we are keeping it, but think improvement could be made!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product! After much consideration my husband and I decided on the Therapeutic Heated Mattress Pad and we are not disappointed. We love the ability to have our own settings and the multiple settings per side. The mattress pad heat is very warm and we both keep the settings on the low side. Though, once the overnight temperatures drop below zero I'm sure we'll raise the heat level on the mattress pad. We highly recommend this product to anyone searching for the perfect heating mattress pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. We are loving this. We bought this only about 2 weeks ago and it has changed my experience of getting into bed immensely. It feels so luxurious to get into a warm bed. I love that I can control the level of heat in 6 different sections of the bed.I usually just turn on the preheat setting about 20 minutes before retiring and turn it off before falling to sleep. Very relaxing. Hoping that it will keep working for a long time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great while it worked I have the queen size with 6 zones and a wireless digital control. I have owned mine for 3 or 4 years (can't quite remember). It worked great initially and at a 2-3 setting, it was comfortably warm. But after about a month of use, I noticed it didn't get quite as warm even at the 7-8 setting. when that first winter was over, I sent it in for repair as it was still under warranty. The next winter, I experienced the same thing with the repaired mattress pad. I gave up on returning it for repair. I still use it but I now have to set it at 7-8 to even get the chill out of the bed. However, the only spots that heat up really well are at the outer edges.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the zone heating I've owned my Calif. King since 2013. I can say that I understand the diminishing heating of the pad over the years. I quickly found out that every time I ran the pad through the wash, it didn’t heat as well when placed back on the bed. So, I protect it better and limit it’s washing cycles. But, each time it is washed, it will not warm as well. Sunbeam needs to realize people wash things—design this thing to take a wash/dry every week for 5 years. I’d like to see the heating pad programmable as well. How about a Wifi connected controller with an Apple App or something? One of the biggest annoyances I have is that I like to start out warm and drop the temp over the 8 hour night of sleep. Without programming, this is almost an impossible task to accomplish. I’d pay $350 for a blanket pad that did all the above AND had a good life-span with real usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend If you have any arthritis, neuropathy, injuries, or fractured bones this is a must. It relaxes and soothes your nerves and bones. You decide on the heat settings. Six zones. You can turn them all off and/or turn one or more on. It does have a preheat, turn off and/or a stay on program. I could not live with out this matress cover. You will not be disappointed.

How "plush" or thick is it? Can you feel the wires?

Trying to choose between this one (for the zones & cordless remote) and one with MANY positive reviews that is said to be thick / plush that you can not feel wires. CAN YOU FEEL THE WIRES? HOW THICK/ PLUSH IS THIS ONE?

Not really plush, but the wires are very thin, they are not a bother to me, or my partner at all. The added adjustability is worth it, I don't think you'd be disappointed. Also one remote isn't an issue at all, once you find a setting you like you won't adjust it very often.
