Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accent piece! Chair is just as pictured...wood finish is a weathered grey. Assembly was not difficult. Upholstery background is oyster white with a muted herringbone pattern. You may have to trim a few threads at the edges. Definitely unique and I've gotten many compliments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Chair I received in 6 days. It was easy to assemble. It is so pretty and would go with other colors. Very comfortable for an extra seat in a room. I purchased before xmas and was able to get the great discount so it turned out to be an excellent purchase.

Is chair cushion firm or soft? And is it easy for an elderly person to get up from using the arms?

Looking for a firm-cushioned arm chair that my elderly mother with back problems can sit in comfortably with good back and seat support and get out of using the arms of the chair without much assistance.
Asked by: MicheleB
I would call it firm over soft although it's really kind of in the middle. The seat is firm upholstery foam over zig-zag springs so it gives a little. The back I would call firm (and it's high enough to rest your head on when you lean back). It is not contoured for lumbar support. The arms are narrow enough to grasp and should make it easy for your mother to get up without assistance. I really like the chair.
