Rated 2 out of 5 by Jewelz1007 from Loses function after 2 months I'm a first time mom and was excited to use this pump for my little one. Unfortunately after two months it started losing suction, they did replace it though. Customer service was great. However after reading reviews I see that it's going to be an ongoing thing. Not only that but it's pretty loud and the baby sleeps next to me which at times wakes her up. I would have loved to keep the same pump for my next child but maybe next time I'll just go with the Medela

Rated 4 out of 5 by ccrollins from Quick and Comfortable! I got this pump after using my insurance paid pump for several weeks and have never regretted it! My other pump was slow and the hard plastic flanges were painful and it was almost impossible to find the right fit. I originally was interested in this pump for the "comfort petal pads" after several blisters were earned and it they make all the difference in the world! I cut my pumping time in half with this pump and the one button let down and suction level is awesome -- no more turning dials to get it just right. One of my only complaints is that you have to order accessories online -- different size petals or storage caps, etc since retailers don't carry this stuff. At least the website is easy to use and you can buy what you need and get it quickly with free shipping. Also, other brands have "kits" that include a lot more for the price - it would be nice if Avent could compete in this aspect with complete storage package -- caps and a cooler like the others. As a first time Mom, I recommend this pump -- it has completely changed my outlook on pumping!

Rated 4 out of 5 by LFG517 from Comfortable This product is comfortable and easy to use, and quiet compared to some other pumps. I would give it 5 stars, but my pump stopped working after 2 months of use. I called Customer Service and they are sending me a new pump due since the troubleshooting did not fix the pump. Customer Service was friendly and and easy to talk to. I just hope my 2nd pump does not have some of the same issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CAmom from Low suction, poor quality I have been using the Comfort Double Electric Pump for almost 7 months. I bought this pump because reviews suggested that it was the most comfortable pump on the market and since it is a closed system, there was little to no chance of milk getting in parts that it isn’t supposed to get into. I have to agree that this pump is comfortable (I do only have one other pump to compare it to, but this pump is MUCH better). However, I have had some issues with my pump. I am currently on my third pump and just today had to place an order for replacement parts AGAIN. I was told today by the CSR that these pump pieces (specifically the valves) typically only last 3 months. She said that 90% of people have to have parts replaced on this time table. I am a first time mom but this seems a little crazy considering breastfeeding is recommended for 4 X’s this length of time! The customer service people have always been very kind and willing to send me new pumps and new pieces, but I worry about when we have a second child and the pump is no longer under warranty. While comfort is a huge benefit to a pump, unfortunately hands free pumping is also not an option for me with this particular pump. This pump has to be held firmly against you in order to maintain suction. Even then the suction isn’t that strong, especially if you have it for more than a month or two. I have been left with clogged and unemptied ducts on multiple occasions and had to leave work so I go nurse my LO so I wouldn’t get sick. The pump was supposed to help me go back to work full time but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I know if I could do this all over again, unfortunately I would not buy this pump.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mommyof4girls from Avent Comfort Vs. Avent twin I previously had bought the Avent twin electric breast pump in May of 2013 to use for my third child. I recently had my fourth child and got this pump out to use again. It started making a loud clicking noise in the motor and the suction seemed reversed, like it was pushing air out instead of suctioning. I called as I still have the 24 month warranty. They sent me a new pump. When I received the new pump, it was the Avent comfort double electric pump. I called again, thinking there was a mistake. But, no mistake, they don't make the Avent twin electric anymore. I'm very disappointed to learn this. I've since been using the comfort double electric pump but unfortunately it doesn't measure up to the Avent Twin that I had previously. The Avent twin had a handle to where I could pump at my desired pace & suction and hit the button to pump automatically. With this new one, you get a let down button and 3 speed buttons. I have found that with this new one, the let down button does nothing for me. Neither does the first speed setting. I will start getting milk on the second speed setting, but it takes forever for my milk to start flowing. With the Twin electric pump, my milk would start flowing right away, within just a couple of pumps of the handle. The twin electric also expressed my milk much faster than the comfort double. I could get more milk in about half the time with the Twin electric. It's very unfortunate that Avent stopped making the twin. With the comfort electric, I'm only able to pump about half the milk (was pumping 4oz total with the twin, now pumping 1.5 MAYBE 2oz with the comfort double) in double the time with the comfort double. The comfort double is also MUCH louder than the twin was, even with the clicking noise the motor started making. With the comfort electric, I also have a hard time getting my breasts placed correctly to keep the suction. I had no issues with this with the twin. I'm not sure if the flanges are smaller, but they are shorter than the twin ones were.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amanda2013 from I love this pump!!! I wanted this pump from the start but because a friend had a Medela, I used her pump for 5 weeks until it died on me (of course I had all new parts for that pump!) I already have all the Avent Natural bottles so I was very familiar with that part. I do agree that this pump is a bit loud, but hey, it's a pump! (They aren't quiet and I'm perfectly ok with that!) The pump parts are very easy to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning and I love the pump cover so that everything stays nice and clean between uses. I am very satisfied with this pump and I highly recommend it! (I would just like to say that I was able to pump a combined 15 oz. my first time and I've only been pumping for 5 weeks now!)

Use with kiinde system bags
Will this be able to pump directly into the kinde twist bags for use with breastfeeding?
You would need the Avent connector for the Kiinde bags. For the best results we recommend using Avent accessories. Using the Kiinde system bags would be at your own discretion.
