Rated 5 out of 5 by The Melissa See and Spell is a must for three year olds and up. I was amazed at the independent learning that took place with my three year old grandson. He was saying his letters, naming the pictures, and saying his colors all by himself. To me, this gift was priceless. I especially loved the compartment box that made cleanup time quick, unlike other puzzles that have to be put together before storing. What prompted me to buy this particular gift was that my grandson had a letter puzzle that spelled his name. Seeing that he found it fun spelling his name, I thought this would be the next step up. I'm glad I did. I also like the fact that he is getting the consonant-vowel-consonant pattern practice. When he goes to school someday, it will all make perfect sense! December 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My 4 year old's favorite toy! Please, please, please make more letter boards!! I'm willing to get down on my knees and beg. My son adores this toy and ask to play with his "spelling puzzles" multiple times a day. October 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by mom of special needs son My mother got see& spell learning toy for my special need son.He loves to look at the pictures and tell what it is. Then we find the letter ths t match the picture. His preschool suggested we purchased this toy to help my son with his speech problems. He is a lot better with speaking words. We have other Melissa and Doug toys that he loves to play with. The toy are very durable to kids of any age. July 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pre reading word learning set We spread the whole set and my grandchildren like to do each word one at a time. It really would be more challenging if you had additional word boards to supplement the original set! August 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fantastic Learning Tool I saw this puzzle set at my local library and had to have it. I bought it for my 3-year-old and he is already learning all of the words. I am a former teacher and a mother of two and I believe this is a wonderful learning tool for young children. We do the puzzles together and he'll look at my word and tell me, "look, Mom, I have a "t" for you." The hands-on experience is really helping him learn his letters. Like all the previous comments, though, we need more words!! August 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Daughter is 2 an knows all the words She learned all the words within a month! It's a toy she pulls out on her own and has even asked for it first thing in the morning. She knew all the upper case letters and this has helped her lower case letters. She gets frustrated that their is no word for the letter L or M (her favorite letters)I'm going to trace the letters to make more words for her, but would love an expansion kit. Please release more boards.. she can still use this toy well into pre-school! January 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by My daughter is 2 and she knows the words My husband went to get a new set - thinking there were more - and discovered after searching online that there aren't any more. A huge opportunity would be to make more sets so children can continue to learn new words. My daughter is 2 and she is in love with it...loves learning with it. She knows about 80% of all her letters and all of the words in the set. February 16, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by My kids looove this and so do I! I use this with my 2 & 3 year old. I think this is such a great "toy"! They can search for the letters, spell the word, see the coordinating picture, and I have ghem say all the letters and announce what word it spells. And the way it's displayed, they can play at thr same time - plenty of letters. I just wish I could purchase additional word boards for it. :-\ November 19, 2013
