Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overpriced for what you get I was a little hesitant with the price, especially for the 63" length however this was the exact style I was looking for so I ordered these... unfortunately I'll be returning them to the store. I ordered the navy colorway which is actually much darker than shown in the picture. There is no liner which I would have expected at this retail. They claim the back is white although when standing outside I could clearly see the pattern through to the reverse. I also thought the smaller width wouldn't make much of a difference but it actually does if you intend to ever cover your window versus just letting the panels hang to the side. Also although the product description says woven, only the base fabric is woven, the pattern is printed on top. The hand feel is very stiff, I'm not sure if this is from the printing or whatever is added to make it energy saving. In my opinion these panels are completely overpriced for what you get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful curtains I purchased these curtains for my living room. I absolutely love them, and I'm considering buying a different color for another room. However, you can buy them cheaper from other websites. I did not buy them from JC Penney's because their price is ridiculous. I bought them for nearly half of what their selling them from here, just by googling the name and choosing the store with the cheapest price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not blackout curtains, but good thermal barrier My wife and I had other sets of thermal curtains that were blackout curtains. She wanted new comforter, sheets, throws, etc., but the matching curtains weren't available. I spotted these, and they were similar in color and complementary in design. We were both expecting these to almost completely block the light like our previous curtains, and it was quite a surprise when they didn't. They are effective thermal curtains. We haven't noticed several weeks of freezing nights, recently, but we have both noticed a fair amount of afternoon light through our west-facing windows. We are used to this, now, but we both suffer from occasional migraines (light often makes them much worse), and we were worried about the amount of light they let through. Reading the description, it sounds like they are lined with something that looks like plastic, but they're not. On the room-facing side, it is a mid-weight, textured fabric similar to canvas, while the back side looks like a thick, white chamois cloth. We got the navy pattern. It looks very sharp in person, and it's a true navy color, not a nearly-black version of blue. These would also work perfectly in a living room, dining room, or den. They can be used in a formal or casual setting. We were very happy with the way they look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these curtains. These curtains are absolutely beautiful and they make our living room look so much bigger and more sophisticated. Highly recommend these for any room in your home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice! Curtains are well made and grommets are large and attached well to the fabric. These should last a long time. The fabric is thick and is a canvas texture. No light penetrates. They are also machine washable which is a huge plus as they are off to a college dorm! I would not recommend machine drying. Color is not as bright as the picture. They are a muted yellow which is perfect for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Panels were much cheaper than I expected thin, the print of the design just seemed cheaply done and the light shined through them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from In your face The print on these curtains was so large and they were so stiff and heavy, I can not imagine hanging them on a large window. It would have looked very much like a circus in the livingroom.. One pair sent was even the wrong size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! These curtains are both beautiful and functional. My dining room is much warmer with the addition of these curtains. I would recommend a shear underneath because while they are nice to look at on the inside, they are not so attractive from the outside. I agree with the other reviewer, they are ridiculously marked up at JCP. You can find the exact curtains at a fraction of the cost on other sites.

Are these good for privacy?

I'm not looking for sun blocking but hoping these would at least block out the neighbors view in the evening hours
