Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tristar 10-qt Pressure Cooker Like the large inner pot size; great for big amounts for large family or potluck dinners. Ease of removal of parts, especially the seal, is great compered to other electrical pressure cookers I have used. Use as canner is extra benefit. Detachable cord is big convenience for storage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not enough information The product does not come with enough operating instructions. While general operation is fine, one must search online to find out how long to cook various foods. There is no information included to address error codes when they arise - I tried to call customer service but was on hold for 30 minutes (with recorded voice messages repeatedly saying that the expected wait time was two minutes) until my husband figured out the problem himself. Does it work? Yes, but don't expect the "manual" to give enough information to effectively pressure cook various foods. On the positive, I find it more stable to use than the stove-top pressure cooker that I used in the past. I'm cataloging my experiences to build my own database of cooking times, but it would have been nice to have basic instructions (other than the instructions that are provided for canning, which is not my primary goal). It seems that basic instructions for error codes should also be included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I haven't been one to enjoy long preparations for meals. That is why this Power Pressure Cooker XL appealed to me. I love it! I am one that likes the 4 ingredient cookbooks and look for fast, easy menus. The Power Pressure Cooker XL allows me to get on quick meals, but the features entice me to expand my cooking skills. (Like canning.) The buttons on the front set the cooking time, but I can adjust it as needed. The cookbook is very basic, but I have enjoyed the online recipes. i would absolutely recommend this device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is easy to use I've never owned a pressure cooker before, so this was a totally different experience for me. It's so large it will hold a whole turkey if you can believe that! It has a setting where you can control the level of doneness. I put a 5 pound chuck roast in, and just pushed the meat button and voila! It was absolutely perfectly cooked medium, and just like I like it. WOW!! What a time saver this nifty pressure cooker is. The best thing about it that after it cooks it automatically goes to the warm mode. You MUST have one of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from accommodates a wide range of cooking options I made a venison stew with 9 different vegetables, 7 different spices (from garlic to cayenne) and 4# of venison. It made 9 quarts when done and it was fantastic---tender, juicy and flavorful. Meets the diet--only 400 calories for 2 cups; add a bowl of soup and you're full and it's a great healthy meal. I have a dozen things yet to try, from slow cooker to high pressure, i'm looking forward to trying them all. This appliance has already helped me to save money over store-bought prepared foods and no need to worry about ingredients I can't pronounce. I recommend you do some online recipe research to find what you like best. This will cook them quickly, good luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the size I purchased it for my son, who loves to cook, and he was thrilled that it came in a 10 qt. and had various features and also that it came with a cookbook, a canning book, measuring units and a few other things. I received a great sale price, so it was an excellent deal for a great product. He has already used it several times and continues to call me with the details of the next "amazing" thing it does.

What comes in the 10 qt. box?

Does the JCPenney model of the 10 qt. come with the same free accessory pack (steamer basket and 3 tier rack, power chopper, etc.) or just the bare bone cooker. In other words, what all comes in the box?
Asked by: Nick
It does not include, all you get extra is the box
