Rated 4 out of 5 by from good quality...looks great...very sturdy The various JCP sales did not include Umbra products...so I paid the full price...thus value rated average. The rod looks black online...it is actually a very dark brown...a plus for me. Each rod comes with three brackets. For one of the brackets, the screw holding the rod secure would not tighten...as the hole was a bit too large for the screw. Not a problem for me...as I need only one center bracket for my widest window...I bought three Umbra rods. The JCP ad lists the minimum rod length as 72 inches...not true! Each rod is in three pieces...left, right and a center rod that fits inside the other two rods. The left and right rods each measure 4' 2" (50 inches)...so minimum length would be 8'4" (100 inches). Again, not a problem for me. If I had needed a shorter length, I suppose a hacksaw would have solved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful design, sturdy material This curtain rod is beautifully designed. The coloring resembles marble on the ends. This rod greatly enhances my new JCP drapes. Well-made material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't have bought a better curtain rod! Our dining room has a very large window that covers part of a twelve foot wall. I had ordered another rod from another company, but it didn't work out because it didn't hold up the heavy curtains. So I turned to J.C.Penney's to see what they might have. I found the perfect rod called Umbra Marbello. I had it installed and was totally satisfied with everything about it. The rod is a beautiful bronze tone and very sturdy. Thank you for carrying such great products.

Answer:
No. Not in one piece. It comes in telescoping pieces, and brackets must be placed at appropriate intervals for support. It is a nice stable rod design.

Answer:
One side fits into the other so you can adjust the length. It is very strong and looks all one piece when it is up. I used only 3 of the support brackets with 2 on the ends and one in the middle, but they send you 4. All materials you need are included, except you need a screwdriver of your own.

I do not have the 3" clearance for the rods to be wall mounted. So will the brackets secure the rod if they are mounted to the ceiling?

Answer:
Since the rod is inserted through the closed circle of the bracket, you should be able to attach them to the ceiling if you wish.

Answer:
Yes the brackets can be ceiling mounted. The rod actually slides through circular decorative metal rings. The rod will not fall out. The image on the website shows a different bracket than what ours came with.

Yes! We have the brackets for this rod attached to the ceiling in one of our locations. It works fine that way.

Answer:
Not as well as if it was wall-mounted, but it could work since the brackets will be U-shaped at the end.

I wouldn't use any more than 2 end brackets on a 36 inch window. This rod is very sturdy.

Answer:
I don't think they sell just the extension. It comes in sections so if you had 2 windows 1 smaller and one larger, buy the bigger rods and use the extension you dont need for the larger window. The rods are beautiful. I bought 3 of them.

I'm having trouble finding rods for drapes that were homemade. They are extremely heavy (close to 50 lbs for the set).
