Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awkward for me... I'm sure this product is great for many, but I couldn't justify buying after using my sample. From standing back in my bathroom mirror my skin looks really smooth, but up close I can see all peach fuzz and little itty bitty bump on my face--I mean, it's VERY HD. A little too HD for my liking! At that point I felt as though more attention was drawn to my flaws rather than perfecting my skin. I will say, it is easier for me to apply than many pressed powders I've tried. It has a sponge that works decent. I didn't have too much luck with a brush because the powder is very fine. I tried it wet and it ended up looking very chalky. Also UD makes wonderful quality products...and it really felt weightless and not tight on my skin. I also appreciate the light to medium buildable coverage. I'm thinking pressed powder isn't really my gig at this point though. I couldn't recommend this to a friend knowing how picky I am I would only expect a friend to be the same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good powder My skin is super sensitive and I have a tough time finding powders that I can use without having some kind of negative reaction to (redness, rashes, breakouts, take your pick!). My skin seems to be okay with this one. I use a liquid foundation in the morning set with an HD powder, and I use this one if I need to touch up later in the day. It works well to cover any redness or oiliness, although too much can end up looking too heavy and cakey, especially under my eyes. My only major issue is the color selection. I have fair cool-toned skin and the lightest cool shade, Fair Cool, is still a bit too dark for me. I remedy this by applying it lightly and sheering it out, but depending on what I need to touch up, in order to match my skin it sometimes gets too sheer to actually cover what I need it to. I deal with it because it is the only powder with color I've found so far that does not cause my skin to freak out, but it would be nice to have a lighter cool-toned shade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My all time favorite Powder Foundation Im 55 and have decent skin for my age. I feel this product leaves me with a very attractive, smooth matte texture that minimizes pores etc. I'm so very fond of this product, I honestly don't know how it could be improved; short of improving the price for the quantity purchased. It's a concentrated product though, that gives a lovely natural looking coverage. I like that there's no sparklevto it. That way if I want to add in illumination I can; where I want it, leaving my skin with that lovely matte texture everywhere else. It takes a LOT to get me this excited about a product but I genuinely love this one THAT much! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On par with some of the luxury brands...but better priced. This foundation is silky smooth, looks like real skin, has light-medium coverage depending how you use it, and does not dry out your skin. i have tried other brands, and this is a very high quality product. My recommendation is to only use the sponge for higher coverage. My preferred method is to stipple it onto the skin and buff it with a brush. This makes a wonderful setting powder if you need a bit more coverage from your foundation, or just need some strategically placed extra-coverage (like when setting your concealer over a blemish).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I *LOVE* this stuff! But do go in store to shade test. I'm not one to use foundation often, because it's such a hassle, in my opinion. My biggest problem with liquid foundations is getting enough coverage without ending up with too much product on my face. I've tried the beauty blenders and brushes and such, and can manage a good face with liquid, but it takes a lot of effort for me. Not so with this! I use a thick fluffy brush to go all over my face once, maybe twice, and I'm done. Excellent coverage, minimal effort. And the best part is, no worries about spills in my purse. I do agree with the other commenters who've said that if at all possible, go in the store and test for the right shade for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot get enough of this product! Honestly this is my go to foundation powder, this is my 3rd purchase of it! I use all of the Naked Skin line, and would recommend all of it! When I don't feel like doing a full coverage face with with liquid foundation, setting powder etc. I use this. I use a moisturizer and then apply this powder with the included sponge. I like to apply the powder before my moisturizer has completely dried. I get the most amazing coverage! It really evens out my skin tone, and covers acne redness. I cant say enough good things about this! If you are a "lazy" makeup girl, this product is for you!! It saves my butt every time I wake up late! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My holy grail foundation!! I had never tried a powder foundation before, because I have always wanted a full coverage foundation and I believed that powder formulas were lighter coverage. I have very oily skin that is acne prone, and it is also very, very fair. I picked this up on a whim because my makeup always gets oily during the day and the powder seemed like a good choice for summer. I used it, and I am in love. I have found my holy grail foundation! The lightest color is perfect for my fair skin tone, and only a few swipes provides full coverage that is perfectly matte. My skin has never looked so flawless before. I can go the whole day without it getting oily or melting off. This stuff is perfect for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Replacement for Clinique City Base For years I used to love Clinique City Base, which looked very similar in packaging to this but was a cream formula. It was discontinued some time ago but I have never stopped looking for a replacement. I like the coverage of a cream foundation (also used to like Laura Mercier Creme Smooth foundation in a jar but that also was discontinued) but lately with a tan I have decided to try going a bit more "natural" and letting my skin show through more. I also have trouble finding the right foundation shade as I have a pink undertone to my tanned skin and I don't like to look too "golden". This color is pretty good in that regard, as it doesn't make me look orange, but it could use more pink/rose to it. I just take care of that with my Naked Flushed compact, though. As far as the consistency goes, this foundation is the perfect hybrid of a cream and a powder and goes on lighter than a cream yet with good coverage that still lets skin show through. I tried Naked Skin foundation before in a shade that matches this (8.0 vs Medium Dark Neutral, which this is) and didn't like Naked Skin because it looked "mask-like" to me, was very drying, and also seemed to show every fine line and flaw I have. I wish I would have returned it, but I bought it at Macy's and not online (mental note to self- when trying something experimental out, use the UD site instead!!) At 45, I have to watch to make sure makeup doesn't have the opposite effect than I intend and make me look older than I am. I do still tan in the sun and even in UV beds during the winter (I know) and the Medium Dark Neutral is a great shade. I use my UD powder brushes to apply it and have not tried wetting it and using a sponge. I may try that at some point, but my fear is that it might result in the maskiness of the liquid product.
