PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

What it is:
A versatile, matte eye shadow palette with six shades in taupe-hued neutrals.

What it does:
Cooler in tone than the original, Naked2 Basics complements Naked2’s palette perfectly. Featuring six taupe-hued matte neutrals, it also includes five never-before-seen shades. Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™ incorporates a proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power, and blendability. They’re neutral enough for a range of skin tones—from cool to olive complexions to darker skin—and they’re perfect for creating a neutral matte eye or base eye looks with your favorite bolder shadows. It even has one shadow with a subtle, satin finish (Skimp), which is ideal for highlighting and adding dimension.

This set contains:
- 6 x 0.05 oz in Skimp (pale nude satin), Stark (nude-pink matte), Frisk (warm gray matte), Cover (muted red-brown matte), Primal (muted brown matte), Undone (deep, smoky brown matte)

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens

What else you need to know:
Like the original, Naked2 Basics is housed in a sleek, soft-touch case that has a suede-like feel and a slight sheen. It’s small and compact so it travels well, yet Urban Decay still packed it with six full-size shadows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travel Naked! Now that I have your attention...the Naked Basics 2 palette is small yet versatile, thus great for travel. Six shades mean a wide variety of possible looks, from subtle natural to silent-screen diva. They're all neutral mattes; they don't need sparkle or bright colour to be fabulous. The darkest shade can line, the lightest can highlight; the ones in between could even contour. Same great Urban Decay eyeshadow quality, pigment, ease of application, etc. that we've come to know and love. These are cool neutrals; if you have a warm skin tone you might prefer the other Naked Basics which has warmer shades. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great palette This palette is probably the best all around palette from UD and just about all others! The biggest reason for me is the packaging is the best! The shadows are also great, very creamy, easy to blend and pigmented better than some other mates I have from UD! Going back to the packing this is my favorite I like it better than all the nakeds, although naked smokey might be very close to a tie, this one is so easy to travel with, so sleak, so easy to store, easy to clean and love the feel of it! I wish they made the ultimate basics in to 2 palettes like these! I have basics 1 and 2 and I really hope UD comes out with more like these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I bought this palette last month and I've loved it since the first time I used it. Even if it's the smallest version, it has enough colors to make a perfect eye makeup for every kind of situation. The price is not so high and the quality is very good. I always use it and the eyeshadow lasts for hours. The colors are easy to apply and to blend. I'm very satisfied. The only "negative" thing, even if it's not so important, is the fact that one has to be careful with it because it's very fragile. I broke one of the eyeshadows just by closing the palette. Despite this little thing, it's all perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First matte pallet purchased by UD! I chose this pallet instead of NB because I'm so fair. In the NB, the first 3 colors are so light that I didn't think they'd show up on me. With the NB2, there are only 2 really light colors. I use Skimp as a highlighter, but it's not noticeable. I'm thinking of adding a small touch of Polyester Bride to bring the color out more. The other day I only used 2 colors because I was in a hurry. I used Cover all over my lid & Undone as a liner. I thought it looked pretty good because the colors are so natural. I am by no means an expert in applying makeup & need lots of practice blending. I used to want everything to look shiny & sparkly, but now being in my early 40's, it seems more appropriate to use more mattes. I've always loved the edginess of UD cosmetics & have been using it for years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile & travel friendly - same GREAT quality This palette is essential for any makeup collection. No matter if you're a makeup beginning or professional, the Naked2 Basics is a must have. Both of the naked basics palettes have the same great formulas that we know and love. All shadows are creamy and matte, except for one slightly shimmery shade. I always use this one for a subtle highlight. The colors can be used to just give a flush of color, or to be used to create a full look. The deep and light shades make this palette extremely versatile and handy. Super travel friendly with solid (and beautiful) packaging. I gave it only 4 points for ease of use ONLY because of the pigmentation. Meaning that for beginners, using shadows this pigmented may be difficult for first-time makeup users. Final verdict: You gotta have it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I am a huge Urban Decay fan; it was one of the first brands that got me into makeup and this palette doesn't disappoint! The colors go together nicely and blend easily whether you use one or all of them together. The one thing that I wish this palette had was a little more pigment, some of the colors definitely have more visibility than others but none of them are terrible. I'm a big fan of skimp as a highlight color especially on the brow bone because it catches the light very subtly and works well with the matte-ness of the other colors. I think my favorite color in this palette is primal because it works wonderfully as a crease color (on me at least) and the warmth really complements every skin tone. The small size is convenient for travel and makeup lovers on the go! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnificent Mattes!! I recently had an eye infection :-( I definitely replaced this eye shadow pallette!!!!! Perfects mattes, not to dark, as I do not prefer darker eye shadow, I like more natural and soft. Definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Naked I am a UD Naked Palette junkie. I have all of the Naked Palettes, and Naked Basics 2 is FAR and away my favorite. I am a blue eyed blonde with fair skin that has a heavy pink undertone, and this cool palette is amazing on my complexion. I am so thankful that UD came out with it. I have been using it exclusively for approximately two weeks and it can create the full range of eye looks from a completely natural effect to a full-on smokey eye. The shadows are silky and have outstanding, build-able color. As a 40-something military gal, the fact that UD makes matte shades with such fantastic color payoff is much appreciated. Glitter and sparkle is lovely, but isn't really suited for daily wear in uniform. Please keep making this palette or I will be lost! There can never be too many cool mattes!
