Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back / Posture Support Have worn one of these everyday since 1999 - I have tried numerous other styles / brands and have never found one that works as well as this one from JCP does. This holds my shoulder back, corrects my posture and relieves my back pain. Does not show through clothing - not bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Posture Improved I had heart bypass surgery and after 8 months of recovery I noticed that my posture was not as good as before the surgery...apparently my muscles had weakened and I want an undergarment to assist in improving my posture and also help as my muscles/shoulders got stronger. I am very pleased with this item, it is light weight and comfortable yet does the job that I wanted it to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for alleviating shoulder/upper back pain Due to a recurring shoulder/neck injury & consequently sloppy posture, I was looking for some sort of brace/support to hold my shoulder in place & alleviate upper back & other nagging pains, caused by inactivity for years after foot surgeries. This brace is great & instantly alleviates pain in not only my shoulder & upper back, but lower back, I think because it pulls my shoulders up & back, so I'm finally sitting up straight. Even the neck pain is less & it has to be due to the way it aligns the spine, as it doesn't touch the neck. My only fuss with it is one shoulder strap scrapes uncomfortably under one underarm... the other side is fine. It's due to the basic construction of the garment, because it needs to sit wide on the shoulders in order to offer support. It's more than likely due to my scoliosis (as my shoulders are off balance slightly), but it does leave my skin red raw on that one side & I can't wait to get it off after a few hours. I couldn't possibly wear it all day long or everyday. At home alone, I sometimes wear it on top of a t-shirt, so I don't get rubbing & that works better if I have to sit for long periods of time. I'll deal with the small discomfort, because it does alleviate all muscle pain. BTW, I'm 5'7" & 130-lbs with a 34DDD chest, but since this is worn with a bra & fastens underneath the bust, at the ribs, choose one based on bra # not letter. A medium fits me fine... a large would probably be too loose at the ribs. As a note however, I did buy 2 for my 83-yr old mother, as she's often mentioned her stooping shoulders. She's 5' & 160-lbs, so I got her a L & XL to try on, choose the best & return the 2nd. She tried them on & sent them right back, saying she can't stand the feeling of such strong support across her back & it made her feel claustrophobic. I know what she means, but I'm using this shorter term, to hold my posture straight while I work on strengthening my back/neck/shoulder muscles again over the next few months. It's working, although yes, it does offer quite firm support... it's like a girdle for the upper back. The undergarment is well fitted (doesn't slip), due to the 6 hook & eye closures & is impressively constructed for the price. It is a firm grip, but if you need temp pain alleviation or momentary posture improvement, this is a great undergarment. Sadly, it doesn't come in black or beige, only white... still & all, I'm very glad to have it & am going to buy a 2nd as a backup while the 1st is drip drying. If in pain, give it a try... if it doesn't work, it will only cost a few $'s to return it. Good luck!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from too short The measurements were supposed to be by waist size, but actually a better measurement would be under-bust, as that is where the belt fastens. The product is too short to offer effective back support for anyone more than 5 foot 6 inches tall. . I returned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product works for my bad posture. I bought this product because I have bad posture and I am also an ER nurse who is on my feet most of the day. It works for me. It can rub under my arms occasionally, and the part that fastens can bunch up under my breasts becoming uncomfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from order smaller If you use their measurements, you will order too big. It is very comfortable and does help hold you back so it is a little more than a reminder. Plus it lifts your boobs, so that's always good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I've had upper back pain for a while, and other supports I've tried have been extremely uncomfortable or cut into my underarms. This one fits well, doesn't hurt, and provides just enough support to ease the back pain. Highly recommended after buying several similar products!!

Length of waistband from top to bottom

Hi, I'd like to know how long the waistband measures from the top to the bottom to see how long it would come down on me on a 4X size. Thank you. Carol Rice
Asked by: Carolee
The waistband measures 28 and 1/4 inches. The size I have is a medium. Good luck carol, I hope this helps!

I want to know the measure of different size

Asked by: Isisb
I ordered a size Med. which I thought would be plenty big enough, but it was small. I'm not sure a large would be big enough. I usually wear size SM, or Med in tops, so not sure what size I would need.
