Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT I have been impressed with Vornado quality, so when looking for a new desk fan for my office, I decided to see if Vornado made one. I found the Flippi V6, and took one to work. I love it! I have my Flippi about a foot and a half away from me. On the low setting, it creates a gentle breeze that is perfect for keeping me comfortable. If I start to get over-heated, I turn it up and within a minute or two, I am ready to turn it back down. The Flippi V6 is virtually silent on the low setting. The high setting is no louder than my old desk fan. It takes up less space on my desk than a conventional desk fan because the base has a smaller profile than the typical triangular style bases. I am able to flip the switch single-handedly by resting my hand on the top of the base, just below the fan itself, and flipping the switch with my pinkie finger. I like that the fan itself sits a bit higher than a typical desk fan. I think this helps with the comfort and circulation factors. I am able to adjust the direction of air flow as needed, and it stays where I put it (as opposed to the average adjustable desk fan). I am very happy with the quality and value of my Vornado Flippi V6.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flippi okay I liked the idea of this fan as a replacement for a very classic miniature floor design type that had quit working. I bought this expecting something better than average because of the name and the hype. Unfortunately, between the nearly useless I setting and the better II setting that is laid out in a very odd way on the power switch, I'm overall far from impressed. Why have a setting that barely moves air. I accidentally leave it on all the time because it's basically like not being on at all. Also, why on earth would you lay out a switch like the one they did? The fan isn't heavy enough to use it with one hand so any time I want to go change the setting or turn it off, I need to use both hands. I know, first world problems, but it's 2015, I think we can do better. Also, what's with having the layout of the switch going from Off to II to I? Is that just a complacent admittance that nobody is really every going to use setting I?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great, but... I bought this fan for my office desk because it offered multiple speeds, was advertised as whisper quiet, and had a neat design. After a couple weeks of use this is what I've found. The dial is difficult to turn to power on/off or adjust the speed. You have have to hold down the base before you can turn the dial. Also, to turn on or off, you have to go through the high speed to go to or from the low speed. The high speed is definitely not whisper quiet. The low speed was fairly quiet when I first got it, but after I accidently left it on overnight there has been a rattling sound that I find quite annoying. This rattling is even more pronounced on the high setting, which combined with the wind noise makes for a loud fan. I like that I can point the fan in most any direction, but don't have a need to flip it closed since it stays on my desk and that's just one more thing I'd have to do to get it going.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fan, had 2 so far, and needed warranty repair. I have owned 2 of the Flippi V6 fans over the years. The first one I had was the midnight blue one and it lasted right at 4 years, with constant use 24/7 before it finally stopped working. The next one i had was the Vibrant Red one. I just had to have a warranty claim on this fan today 1/5/2016 actually. It started making a horrendous noise and rattled really badly. It was still under warranty and Vornado is sending me out a new one free of charge! I was really appreciative of the customer service I received from Tara. She e-mailed me, and I sent an email back showing them the label and serial number off of the fan, and the cord being cut off of the unit, and they were sending me out a new one free of charge under the warranty period. I am excited to see the new Vintage White model I chose as a replacement and hope that it lasts as long as the first one I had. I have found that Vornado does stand behind their products and will make it right by either repairing or replacing the product. I am happy with these fans and they are the perfect size to fit on a nightstand or a desk and aren't too loud but get the air moving for sure. Thanks Vornado, with customer service like I experienced today, I will definitely be buying more of your products as my needs for them arise. God Bless!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neat little air circulator This is a neat little gadget. It is quiet, has a small footprint, and is currently used on my computer desk. When operating it DOES NOT scare my "poor little kitty kat" (yeah....17 lbs of poor little....)who sleeps on the desk, it does curculate the air within a 3-4 foot radius of its location, and after a few minutes of operation, I don't notice anything except the gentle folding of air being circulated. Wish I would have thought of this item for Christmas. Definitely recommended if you need a small air circulator in a small location.
