Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best mini heater on the market! I use this heater every single day! My toddlers love to sit near it after bath time and warm up and relax! I absolutely love that I can set the heater to low or high, set the preferred temperature and trust that it will shut off after it has reached that temperature. In addition to that, it has a 'fan only' option that we can use as well when it's too warm in the house. I have noticed how sensitive it is to movement, for example, when I have bumped it or tried to reposition it, the heater automatically shuts off. My youngest son likes to play with everything and I have noticed that when he has tried to tip it over or move it, it shuts itself off. I have complete trust that my baby boy will not be harmed or that the heater will overheat. I also love how it looks. I love the muted colors and the bright display. It is very easy to use - the different icons and color of the screen make it fool-proof. And the fact that the cord is easily hidden underneath the base is just an added bonus!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Safe features, but smells like burning plastic I just got it yesterday. I like the quality and safe features. It works fine so far. My only concern is the burning plastic smell coming from the heater when turns on. I'm not sure if the smell will be gone after a couple of days or it is the normal smell of it. If anyone can give me an answer, that will be highly appreciated. I couldn't recommend this product if the smell is permanent. I'll update my comments later.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Major FLAW in child lock Be aware that by default the child lock is not engaged. When the auto shut off is triggered the heater automatically resets to its default settings. My 20 month old has already figured out that he can tilt the heater to turn it off and then he can play with the buttons all he likes. If like to see the heater be reprogrammed since it's designed to be used in children's rooms.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Couple deal breaker flaws I really wanted to love this heater with all of its great features. However, after using it there are a couple flaws that I'm afraid are making this unit unusable for us. First is the display light. There is not an option to turn this light off and in our otherwise dark nursery it is a significant amount of light. If you have a kiddo that likes a nightlight you may like this feature but for us it's a downside. Second is when the unit's heating element turns on and off it makes an audible clicking noise. Loud enough to be heard over our white noise, and enough to make an almost asleep baby start looking around the room to try and find where the noise is coming from. Maybe other babes aren't as sensitive or curious but this is extremely distracting for ours. Can't say we're happy with this heater for our nursery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worried Initially I LOVED this heater. My sons room is upstairs in our cape house so it's not well insulated. This heater started off providing a gentle warm heat and my son slept great. Tonight I go up to tuck him in bed and his room is chilly. I walk over to check the heater and it's off and won't turn back on? I had to unplug it a few times and it finally turned back on but I'm worried now it's going to shut off and he'll wake up cold tonight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I would not recommend this for a baby nursery I purchased this heater when my son was born because we had newly relocated to Calgary, Alberta from Houston, Texas and the winters here are COLD!! His room seems to be the coldest one in the house so I purchased this heater after weeks of research. The heater warms quickly, but it will continue to warm the room all night and I have lost a lot of sleep from having to run back and forth to adjust the dial to make sure my son is not too hot....(my monitor shows the room temp at all times). The fan works sporadically and sometimes never turns back on which makes it even more annoying. I wish I had known about the Sunny CS because I would have purchased that heater instead. The Sunny heater is good for an adult at work or a large room with proper circulation....I now turn the heater on and leave his door half way open and my husband and I have to tip toe around the house to make sure we don't wake him with any noise...all in all I'm disappointed and I hope to purchase the CS in the future. I wouldn't recommend this heater for a baby nursery, but it would work perfect for an adult in a work environment or larger room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for babies This is a really good space heater if you have babies/small children. The safety features on this thing were thought up by a mom for sure! You can choose between low heat, high heat & fan only. If it senses the room to be at the temperature you set it to- it will automatically switch to just the fan, so the noise is constant. If something is blocking it from getting enough air or if it gets tipped over it will automatically shut off. Turning it back on is slightly annoying though. You must actually unplug it from the wall and plug it back in before it will turn back on again. This gets tedious if you adjust it a lot. The sensor that thinks it's been knocked over is a button on the bottom of the unit that is pushed in by the weight of the unit. So- if you pick it up even just to move it 2 inches without turning the heater off- it thinks it's been knocked over and you must unplug it from the wall & plug it back in before it will work again. Annoying- yes. But still worth having the safety feature for my babies. I think it's priced a little high, but not outrageous for the quality & safety features.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Are other reviewers serious??? I opened the box and wanted to love this product. Unfortunately it ended at the packaging. I turned it on and the remote did not work. It caused the heater to click on and off constantly because it loses signal. I even tried to set the remote next to it to no avail. I would recommend not using it. The good news is that it is a usable heater without it. My frustrations continued when I could hear a really loud click every time the heat changed in the room. You try to set a temperature and the heater apparently tries to hold to it exactly by clicking to adjust the temperature lower as soon as it gets hotter and higher as soon as it gets colder. This click happens literally every 60-90 seconds. If I can't even sleep with the click through the monitor, how can my baby? Once you get past the click, you then find out that constant on and off actually just keeps increasing the temperature. We set ours for 74 degrees and woke up only to see the temperature in our baby's room at 80 by the other thermometer we had in there. The bottom line is that it heats but a completely ineffective execution of the stated goals of the product.

just not enough heat...

found myself shivering at the end of the night. the regular non nursery vornado that cost 10.00 less seemed to work great. what's up with the temperature set at max (7) and this thing putting barely enough out to keep my hands from feeling like I just soaked them in ice water?
