Rated 5 out of 5 by from It fit mu window perfectly and looks much more expensive than it is. The valance has formal pockets in the design which the picture didn't show and when hung gives it a more formal look and that is exactly what I wanted. The color was what I thought it would be, which many times is not the case. The sale coupon on top of the sale price made it an incredible value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Royal Velvet Encore Rod Pocket Valance Sweepstakes Entry The valances arrived very, very quickly and were well packaged. The typical wrinkling is present and with the material I opted not to steam them and to let the wrinkles fallout on their own, if the wrinkle are persistent I will go back and press them out. The fabric is just a tad on the lighter side, not sheer by any means so the sun does filter through a bit, perfect for the more airy look I want. So if you are looking for a "thermal heavy duty" valance, this might not work for you. Price was great and the Sterling Green color is gorgeous, a bluish, greyish green...so many accent colors to pair them with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this product of valances. The color is just the right blend for my comforter set. I ordered valances online and encountered a problem. A chat room was offered and I decided to take advantage of the situation. A rep-resentative of Penny's assisted me and we got the problem resolved. She was most polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and I was very happy with the outcome. This was my first on-line chat and I was pleased it went so well. I am very happy with my product (valances) and the color is perfect. Sometimes when you are ordering you don't know if colors are true to what they should be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful addition to my living room and guest room Overall, I like the valances I purchased very much. I ordered this valance in three different colors and had to return one of them because in natural light it seemed to look different. I realized that the reason was because that fabric backing the valance allows light to come through making certain colors to look different in natural light. The Sage Green actually looked blue in my living room. It was still very pretty but didn't look right with the colors in the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Valances I purchased the ivory and its more of a golden ivory I purchased to match the Ivory grommet Lissette panels. For me the color is ok I have a lot of beiges and golden beige colors in my room. The valances are on a regular curtain rod. They are kind of funky to work with there is a funny type fold inside above each box pleat the best way is put them face down and insert the rod so you can get behind the crazy fold inside they created when they stitched these at first I thought they had stitched them shut!!!!!

How am I supposed to put the rod thru when each section is sewn shut?

Asked by: Reen
I thought the same, they are not sewn shut. You need to carefully put the rod through at the very back end of the material. Trust me I panicked and was going to return them. I tried again and realized that the pole needs to be partly pressed towards the back end. There IS a pocket for the pole to go through!
