Custom blinds and shades
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Wonderful deal on these blinds, especially for the quality of the product. I absolutely love the color (I got grey/silver), it matches my walls perfectly. I will definitely be purchasing more of this item, I want them on all my windows! The delivery was exceptional as well, super quick! September 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these blinds! I wanted nice simple blinds that came in a variety of sizes for my living room. I didn't want anything that blocked out the light per se, but because we live pretty close to our neighbors, wanted blinds just to add a touch of privacy. These blinds fit the bill perfectly. They can be lifted and pulled down very easily, they still let sunlight filter in, and the linen look makes them dressy enough for a formal living room. Cordless is the way to go! March 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great feature with elimination of side pulls I installed 6 shades and have loved the privacy at night, without the total black out look during the day: these shades allow just a little light shinning through the fabric. I really enjoy not having the side pulls to worry about with small children and pets and was pleasantly surprised how easy the shades push up. They only cover about 2 inches of the window when up and I like to have the maximum light from the window during the day. April 1, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by I've ordered 2 now, they both hand crooked My husband hated the junk hardware this blind came with and it will not hand straight, no matter what. It's like the cords inside the blind are crooked?? So we ordered another, it hangs the same way. Very frustrating. Pretty linen fabric, but I guess you get what you pay for. August 29, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Time will tell . Purchased the same shades about a year ago and was satisfied so far that I purchased three more . No problems so far , but learned that once in a while they will not retract all the way back up . So I learned if you open them all the way down once in a while they will retract all the way up . Guess being in one position for awhile tends to make them stick a little bit . August 15, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't last I have had these blinds for a little more than a year and they no longer lift up! The have to remain fully closed since when you try to lift them up to open them they just crumple up. Apparently just hanging in the window causes the fabric to stretch so they become non- functional and the pleats do not fold up. I thought they were a good price but guess I got what I paid for! I have other rooms in my house with similar style blinds and even after 11 years they still lift up properly and without cords. The material is very thin and the silver color also lets lots of light in so they dont darken the room at all! Save your money! August 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleated Blinds The blinds were at a great price and solve my problem of intense heat in the morning in my dining room. They installed easily. August 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by wonderful fit to my window I love having the ease of raising and lowering my blind without those ugly cords hanging from the top. Very attractive hanging in the window. A plus all the way around. Also very easy to install, took very little time. July 25, 2016

Answer:
I have 64" long outside mount. I put the the shade at 37" from top. There is a very flat layer of pleats about 3/4" to 1" high at bottom of shade. Looks good, so I don't think you would need to shorten. I don't think it would be easy to shorten the shade.

Answer:
It doesn't need to be shortened. you just pull down the shade as far as you want. The rest of the shade stays neatly folded up at the top. I absolutely love these shades and wouldn't have anything else!

I do not think that these can be shortened. My Window is only 36 1/2" high and the Blinds look beautiful! I love them.
Hopes this helps.

Are you able to see through the shade from the inside? I'm looking for a shade that you can see through but yet have privacy from the outside. Thanks!

Answer:
I have the brown/Linen color and no, you cannot see thru. The shade material makes me think of a heavy coffee filter material. The tubular shape adds to the filtering, so it does let some light in but filters a lot and again unable to see thru it.

Answer:
Yes, you can see through them. This picture is from about 6 feet away. The farther away the less you see. I don't believe you can see in from outside.

I returned the shade. It did not fit my window and I did not like the way it was made. Sorry I could not answer your question. I have older ones that are very similar from Pennys and you cannot see through the shade from the inside. I assume these would be the same.

Answer:
I haven't had an issue with this at all under normal use. The string in the lift is usually what ends up breaking on these blinds. Some have lasted a couple of years, some only 6 months. I have actually bought spares when they are on sale to keep in case one breaks, Since I have several in the same room, I wouldn't want to replace them all at once if one breaks. At least they are not expensive.

Answer:
I like the material. It could only rip or tear if it was extremely abused or slashed with something. You push/pull the little tab & you don't contact the material, plus it is quite stiff. They are nice looking.

Answer:
The material is like a heavy coffee filter material and the tubular style (so really 2 layers) does allow some light in but filters majority of it. The window we are using it in is generally a cold window during the winter that the winds hit directly and this style/material is working very well to keep the cold trapped.

Answer:
It's a thin fabric, and it has only one layer. Basically, the daylight goes through, but it blocks the view, so that people can't see inside. We live on the first floor, and people keep on passing by our windows. Therefore, we just installed ours, and are very satisfied.

Yes, the shade can be installed on a door, as long as the door is smooth. Otherwise the brackets will not sit properly.

I don't see why not, on a wooden door. They have the big brackets, like mini blinds use, that screw on, the top of the shade pops in, and a piece of plastic slides in to hold it in.
