Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice blinds I originally got these (red mahongany) for my son's room, mounted them and loved the look so much that I bought another set to match both bedrooms that face the street. The more I walked by and looked at them from the inside and out, I ended out buying some for the master bedroom. As they did not come 70", I bought 2 sets of 35" and mounted them side by side. They looked great! I was very pleased with all the windows. Now the reason for the mediocre rating is that after a week, one set of blinds in the master bedroom has started to warp! When the blinds are open letting in the light, the upper slats warp up (like they are smiling), the lower couple of slats curved down at the ends and the few in between are perfectly flat! It is the oddest thing and they just will not flatten. After speaking to an online agent, the suggestion is to order a replacement set before they are all gone and return the defective one to the store (as I no longer have the box, receipt and packing I can return the defective blinds in the replacement box). I'm hoping that I just have one bad set. Otherwise these are great looking blinds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice and sturdy I am very happy with the way these shades look. I didn't use any of the little plastic pieces as I wanted to keep the installation simple and the width of the blinds was narrow enough not to require a center bracket. I love the metal brackets. They are sturdy enough to hold up the weight of the faux wooden slats. These blinds should be easier to clean than the more narrow slats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality ! Seems durable They are so much sturdier than typical mini blinds.I was going through a blind a year on my sun porch - which has 4 large windows, it was adding up ! These will defiantly last a long time ! They also seem to let more light in with the slats open. Well made and strong. It did take me 2 days to get used to seeing them and not slim plastic mini blinds . I love them !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive blinds The blinds came as expected and were easy to install after the first one. They are easy to operate, look good, and are easy to clean. The measurements are exact and the blinds fit nicely into the window. I am very happy with my selection of blind and since I got a universal color (white) they will be easy to match. If they are not I will surely write about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was product is great quality and a great price. After looking high and low, we finally found the best combo of quality and price by ordering our new bay window blinds on line from the nearest JCPenney and had them shipped free of charge to the store. It was worth the 9 month wait!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nicer than I had hoped I bought these to keep our blinds from getting torn up by our cat. They are very nice. Very durable and look very nice. Been about two weeks since we hung them up and no problems with the cat bending them or anything.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 2" Faux Wood have better details and finishes We had ordered the 2" faux wood previously and were satisfied. We heard the 2 1/2" gave more privacy darkness so when these went on sale ordered them. 2 significant differences that we were not aware of the first one being there are no sides on the returns - so basically only the front piece has a valance and second one is that there is not a wand handle to adjust it is done by a string like how you would raise and lower the shade. We kept these as once we hang and also do curtains you will not be able to tell there are no side valances returns and never had the pull string vs wand so giving it a try.

Will these blinds successfully darken the room?

I really don't want to buy room darkening curtains and hope these will be an alternative for my bedroom.
Asked by: SlimthickChic
They will reduce light but not black out. If your looking for room darkening or black out these are not it. May I suggest getting a lined curtain to go with these which will dramatically reduce light when closed. It looks great.

adjust lenght

I don't need this length. Want this blind instead of a shorter one. Can the slats be taken out to make it shorter?
Asked by: karbiz03
Yes. Slats can be removed from the bottom. Directions are usually included with blinds; BUT I found it to be a hairy task with the wider, heavier blinds. After ruining a blind trying to shorten it, I decided I liked the extra 5 slats on the bottom! The extra weight does keep the blinds hanging nicely with the extra slats resting on the sill.

Can these blinds be mounted from the top?

Asked by: TJ82
Yes, from the top, or the side. I mounted mine from the side.

My window is actually 48 1/2" wide and these come in 48". Do I need to special order, or would this work?

Asked by: Grammy
48" would be 471/2" wide. If you choose "cut to size" blind, you can order 481/2" for complete coverage if the window frame will accept a header that wide.
