Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect size measurement--black-out--and ordered color--easy install--great quality... I ordered these at the same time as another slightly more expensive blind with the handle and these ultimately turned out to be much better! The size is exactly what I ordered--the others were about 1/2 inch to long. Definitely black out as I get the AM FL sun and unfortunately traffic lights at night due to HOA tree cutting! Color is perfect tan--other was kind of "yellow". Installation was a breeze though I did have an initial issue with the clipping blind to clips but was able to overcome by loosening the screw on the ones that I was having problems with. Someone else commented on having both in their home and comparable however, the others did seem to be wider on the blind but I just couldn't get the fit. I was concerned about the framing and top and bottom rail exposure but matches coloring of blinds perfectly and really doesn't need a valance as the installation fits inside the window with no gap on top and looks quite custom. I gave it a 4 on "meets expectations" because it would be great to have a clip on the blind to adjust it-- perhaps the manufacturer has clips? I will definitely look into. I highly recommend otherwise so far so good! May 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shade is what I needed These shades are really nice. I needed a window treatment that would block the light so I could sleep. These shades do the trick! If I could install them flush inside the window, they would be perfect. With new windows, I did not want to damage them so we had to install them partially inside/outside window. Ordered them an inch wider and that help keep more light out too. I am sure they will help lower our energy bills also. Am very pleased. June 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very dark. Got these for my sons bedroom to make it really dark. I was afraid they wouldn't be dark bc the blinds I had were already called room darkening but weren't. I was pleasantly surprised how dark they were and my son started napping! Wish they came in 0.5" sizes though so they would fit the Windows better. June 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Love love love these shades. Very easy to install and do a great job of keeping out the light. June 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by These are lovely but not blackout I love these shades and they look great in our bedroom. However, they are room darkening, not blackout, which is the only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars. This may be due to the fact that the shades don't go all the way to the edge of the window casing so light filters from the edges. Nevertheless, they do a good enough job to allow us a good night's sleep. JCP's service and delivery are impeccable. These shades are such a great value! Love them! My husband is a convert! We are in the process of buying similar style shades for other rooms. June 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! this product was very easy to install. the grey color looks great. this blind is great for blocking out sunlight during the day. am definitely thinking of ordering in other colors for more windows in my home! June 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by cellular shades Blacks out the light and heat as well. Like that they are cordless, move easily up and down. June 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by These shades are outstanding These blackout shades are a great color and completely block out unwanted light. They are also super easy to move up and down, overall a great shade for the price. June 9, 2016

Since there are no cords yes you have to hold on to the bottom of the shade to raise & lower it. I installed them without my husband very simple. I love mine so far.

They are mounted on the top of the window and pull down like normal shades. They cannot be opened from the top down. They work great for our purpose. Hope this helps you.

I have 13 of these shades, and I just love them. I chose not to have the ones that scroll down from the top. I have the pull down ones, and they are very easy to use and have stayed as good as new since the day I purchased them.

Answer:
You pull them down from the top only. unfortunately you have to actually grab the shade itself to close or open. There is no pull like I have had on other shades I have ordered.I know on custom blinds they make ones that can open from either the top or bottom. These are great in that there is no light let in. On a sunny morning you would never know it was sunny out!

Answer:
I open my blackout cordless shades from the bottom, as I always have with shades in the past. I have never used the top method and would find it awkward and cumbersome. I am delighted with the ease and function of these shades and would purchase again.

Answer:
Unless you purchased the ones that open from the middle, they open down with a very light touch. The bottom has a stable solid piece that you just gently grasp and pull down with very little effort. It takes barely any effort to put them back up. They adjust easily to open or close to whatever height you choose. No cords to worry about! Think of an accordion. They are like that more or less and you just open them as much as you like.

Yes. Our windows are two different sizes, both were 36 in width, one was 48 in height the other was 60. Shades worked great on both windows.

Answer:
You can, just keep in mind you will have some extra shade material. We do offer custom shades, which I have linked below. These shades are made specific for your window. I have also linked a shade similar to this one that is custom. I hope this helps!

Measuring 27x36
my windows for inside mount are 27 1/2 ". What size should I order. I think the 27 might be too small from the other answers posted here, but I believe the 29 will be too big ? Any suggestions ?

Answer:
With these blinds, NEVER buy them assuming you will be able to fit a size bigger inside the dimensions. The blinds are measured accurately. The 27 inch blinds for a 27 1/2 inch window INSIDE mount should be about perfect. Always double measure your own window just to be sure, top AND bottom of the inside of the window frame!

Answer:
When measuring for inside mounts, we ask that you measure down to the nearest 1/8. 27" W would be slightly smaller, but it could work. There will be a gap. If you would like the perfect fit, we suggest ordering cut to width shades.

Answer:
You should order the 27" - it would give you a slightly bigger gap where the light comes through but you can easily fill that in by adding a piece of wood or something else to the side walls to make the opening smaller - you will still be able to open the window if you have windows pull open upwards. I will do it with 2 of my windows in order to use these shades. I have my whole house done with them and I looooove them.

Answer:
It depends on how you want to mount them. If you want them on the inside of the frame, you must order them smaller, but you will then have daylight showing around the edges. If you hang them on the wall, you will have good coverage of your window, but decide if you will be using some other window treatment (drapes or curtains) & figure out where you will place the brackets to properly hang them.

Answer:
I think there's another shade that can be cut to size? I would wait until that goes on sale and cut it to your size. Mine were 32 1/8-1/4 and they fit perfectly. If you need the blackout, probably neither size will work for you.

Answer:
I am verifying that you are measuring the INSIDE width of your window? The 32" shade would leave a 3/4" gap on each side and the 34" would be too wide. If you don't mind the gap, order the 32", otherwise, you would need to order a custom width.

Answer:
That depends on where your measurement is on the window. Is it for an inside mount or outside on the trim? If it's inside and you want darkness, the 32 will be too short and light will filter around the edges. I would consider the 34. Ours are mounted on the outside. It remains dark enough to sleep during the day. We don't have any curtains, but a tier across the top. If you add any curtain that covers the sides - you'll have near total darkness. These shades are awesome! You will love them.
