I bought 5 of these in Microchip gray and 4 of them in Linen. The 4 linen ones were perfect. Met expectations. The microchip gray...did not. I got them and 4 out of the 5 had the "pin holes" in them. I took them back to JCpenny and they were nice and ordered 4 new ones. I got the new ones yesterday and 3 our of the 4 had pin holes and the 4th was completely different material. As in the gray is more "blackout" but this 4th one you could see the light pass thru it no problem. Like I understand you get what you pay for. But this is ridiculous. So now I'm in a dilemma. Do I just return them all, or try for a 3rd round in not getting blinds with holes in the. I guess that's to much to ask for. See photos.

by LizNJ A perfect solution
After shopping around for suitable shades for my office/guest bedroom, I returned to JCPenny.com. They seem to be the only retailer that offers great quality window shades at very reasonable rates. Save yourself the aggravation of shopping around and just buy these!

by KatieY Good shades for the price
I like the look and feel of these shades. The cordless feature is really nice. The fabric is just thick enough to look like a more expensive shade. They were easy to install. The downsides: I ordered three of these and all three had markings on them. Two had small black lines and one had some red lines. I kept the two with the small black lines because I didn't want to chance exchanging them for new ones that may have more red lines. I am returning the one with the red lines, which is okay because of the other downside. These shades do not fold up as high as I'd like them to. They hang a bit low even when fully open. Because of that, I can't use them in the smaller kitchen window, so I don't need the third shade I ordered. I'd still order these again regardless of the low hang and marks because they are a great value compared to other roman shades. They give privacy, but still allow light to come through (exactly what I wanted!)

by annawolf Perfect for my room
These Roman shades fit the bill for all my criteria: I wanted something lighter than what I had on my 3 family room windows, I wanted them lined, and cordless. I ordered 3 of these in 39x64 and the installation was fairly easy (due to the fact I hung them on a wood cased window and did not have to bother with drywall anchors). Now, with my window coverings lighter, the room feels bigger. They draw up very well to open, and really add beauty to my family room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grantfam Great shades for the price.
We really like the cordless feature. They are a great value and came in the right size. Also like the sturdy brackets and mounting. We recently purchased other Roman shades from an on-line blinds company and were very disappointed in the lack of quality. JCP shades are much higher quality and a better price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BreeBree8725 Ordered for all of our bedrooms!
We first bought these for my son's bedroom window. I installed them (very easy!) and he loved them! His are dark grey and they block a lot of light and are super easy to pull up and down. We next ordered them for my daughter's bedroom. She has two windows and we ordered the shades in white. They don't block as much light in white, of course, but they are beautiful and so easy to install and raise/lower! Finally, we ordered 3 more for our master bedroom in dark grey. We're installing them now. These are high quality shades that are super easy to install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dazed81 Love them, except the holes!
I purchased two of these in gray when redecorating my
Daughter's room. She was at camp and it was a surprise. They were easy to hang, and I love everything about them- except all the tiny holes that run the length of the shades, which are stitch marks from the way they are made. They let light come thru, more than I anticipated and I was disappointed. If it wasn't for us needing to show the redone room to her when she came back I probably would've taken them back to the store and ask them to try new ones. I just didn't have time to mess with it. But otherwise they look good and function great (so much better than our previous JCpenney Roman shades that have cords and whose liners tear over time/cords on backsides tear.) I had seven of the older style and can't wait to slowly convert them all to the cordless style. I wish there were NO HOLES- then these would be perfect. Even the kids can operate these which is great (3, 6, and 8) I've had them up for 9 months with no issues

I wanted to replace the roman shades I had for another color. I expected them to be the same as the ones I had on my windows. But, these were very plain, no detail at all. Both shades came from JCP, but the older shades were much nicer. Sorry!
