Rated 5 out of 5 by Very happy with this product We really like the way these panels look on our sliding door in our dining room; they're casual yet dressier than traditional vertical blinds. We have an open floor plan so wanted casual. We chose the Teak color & to us it's very neutral but adds some color. On our 74" door we put 3 panels & slide them to one side. It was a challenge with the weight of these blinds - we ended up putting a piece of conduit inside the curtain rod so it didn't sag in the middle. Otherwise we'd have to put the middle bracket in & go to 4 panels & slide to both sides - this works better for us. When they're closed they do let light in, which is just what we wanted in our situation. June 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I finally found curtains for my large windows & slider!!! Love them! These curtains are exactly what I've been looking for! I have a lot of very large windows that are not standard size. I ordered them in "Natural" for my family room. I liked them so much I ordered more in "Walnut Brown" for my dining room. I also have these in my glass slider. The best feature for me is, they provide privacy without totally blocking out day light or my view. May 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Doors and Large Windows I bought these for our french doors. I was looking for something that we would be able to push to the side when the doors were open. These seem to fit perfect. I bought 3 panels in the walnut brown color and got the 1" Curved Adjustable Curtain Rod 86"-120" size to mount them on. The panels are heavy so you'll need a heavy rod to mount them on. Quality made like anything I've every bought from JCPenney. They look great hanging. March 26, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very pretty... but very heavy! I ordered 3 set of panels but will have to order another one to cover the patio door...kind of a blessing in disguise that the 3 didnt cover the complete door because I realized with them being so heavy and stiff...I would need to order a shorter panel so that the dog door wont be covered by them...overall very pleased with them. August 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these 'drapes' Was looking out for blinds/drapes/curtains for our backyard entry to home, and since the frame size wasn't so standard, couldn't find the regular blinds. We're so glad we came across these, very high quality and wonderful looking, these have definitely made our place look more beautiful! Disclosure : Sweepstakes Entry May 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best sliding door panels ever! After dealing with frustrating vertical blinds blades that sometimes pop out/break off, I stumbled on to these panels while looking for a replacement. I was enticed by the concept and decided to try it. When I received them I was blown away with the quality of the product. They're easy to install, easier to move from one side to the other than blinds, they do not conflict with my doggie door and they look fabulous. March 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeded expectations Our challenge was finding the right coverage for sliders off the loggia near the front entrance of our home. We wanted the privacy but with a light feel that would filter the hot Vegas sun but still allow us to see our front door. In addition the material had to be durable enough for frequent use of the doorway and dog-friendly. We couldn't be happier as all challenges met and the overall effect is casual and attractive. The panels are heavy and due to the width of my doors (78") I used 3 panels to cover. To accommodate the weight I did purchase a stronger curtain rod to handle without the need for a center support. August 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ordered these for my 125" picture window I was looking for nine months for blinds for an extremely large picture window in my den. When I found these on the JCP website I became very excited but did not know if I would like the multiple shades (5) that I needed for my window. Installation was fairly easy and now I am so pleased with this product that I am thinking of putting them throughout my house. Lets the light in but drastically cuts the heat from the direct sun on this window. Love the look and the ability to separate these at any point on the curtain rod if I want additional light or to clean the window. So happy with this product! August 22, 2016

Answer:
I own several of these and I'm quite happy with them. They are of quite good quality and are relatively heavy due to bamboo construction. The bottom edges of these panels are finished with a heavy cloth, as are the sides and tops. I don't see how you could cut them without destroying the look and integrity of the panel.

My husband & I went outside after dark to see if you could see inside. We left some lamps on & all we could see were shadows. This was important to us because we live in close proximity to out neighbors. During the day I can see out but someone would have to be standing right outside the window to really see inside.

We also wanted an alternative to vertical blinds for our dining area, which has sliding doors going out to the patio. These are not as opaque as verticals, but they do provide a lot of privacy, I think. Keep in mind that they still are made of translucent woven material so they won't ever function the way a blackout shade might.

Hi, I haven't put mine up yet but from reading some other reviews, I don't think they will offer total privacy due to the nature of the weave they seem like they will let sunlight through and at night if you have lights on I think they will be semi sheer, I plan to use a plain beige/brown curtain behind them as I also want privacy.

Answer:
Each panel, when scrunched up is about 4" wide. These panels are heavy, so you'll need a center bracket to keep the rod from sagging. I have 4 panels on my slider so when they're opened, there are 2 on each side. My rod is extended about 3" past the door frame so the panels do not obscure my view at all.

Answer:
The panels fold up very compactly. Each panel arrives in a box that is
approximately 5 inches. They have sharp folds in the panels that allow
them to bunch together easily, and take up less room than fabric curtains. I have them on my patio door, and am very happy with the result.

These bamboo panels are somewhat heavy so we had to mount an extra bracket in the center, which I highly recommend. I have 4 panels hanging in my slider, two panels on either side of the mid bracket. During the day I open both sets of 2, one set to the left & one set to the right. They scrunch up to a pretty small space.

I put up 3 panels too on a french door so we could pull them to the side. I used the JCPenney Home™ 1" Curved Adjustable Curtain Rod. The length I got came with a center support which I didn't use. I haven't had any problems. The rod is very sturdy. The only thing I did different is put heavier screws in then what came with the rod.

Answer:
Yes, these are very heavy panels. You can try inserting a piece of re-bar into the rod, though ultimately this also adds to the weight.
I have been exploring shower curtain rods that are held by brackets/down-rods suspended from the ceiling, as my rods sag substantially as well. Haven't implemented this yet. Google vaulted ceiling angle bracket.
