Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful, quality curtains I really hate curtain shopping but I have never been disappointed with a JCPenney window treatment. We have one blue accent wall in our living room and wanted to get blue curtains to accent it, so we took our paint mixing stick (dried of course) to the store and held it up to different curtains to see what might match, and the "lustrous steel" looked really good with the paint - the curtain's color is definitely bluish. I ordered a pair of the egret color as well, and hung both sets in the living room. They look GREAT! They are opaque enough that we don't have to worry about nosy neighbors, but transparent enough that they let some light in. I'm really pleased with these curtains and I'm so glad we ordered them! Rated 5 out of 5 by This high-quality panel drapes nicely Royal Velvet Ally panels are in my living/dining rooms. On each end I added a drape in another color. The Ally lets in daylight, eliminates glare and provides privacy. It is not see-through. The fabric is heavier than a sheer, so it drapes beautifully. The "egret" is a nice warm tone, but not available in all sizes. I got some 108" and will hem them; it's worth it! April 22, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Disappointed I knew these were going back the minute I saw them. The "egret" color is a very light shade of yellow, not at all white or an off-white with grey undertones as they appear on-line or as you might expect with the color name of "egret". The fabric has a slight sheen to it and looks cheap to me. If you like a polyester look, you might not mind them as much as I do. I wouldn't even keep these if they were given to me free. Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeded Expectations This is really a very nice curtain, (went back and bought some more.) It hangs very well and the material is very nice. March 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by like a fine wine I ordered in 'Palmetto red'. The color is a perfect garnet. The texture a dream of silkiness. Looks like a million bucks. February 24, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice product. I bought these for a bedroom. They are nicely made. I liked the material. Sheer but gave privacy. I bought them in egret. I had to return them as they looked more yellow then other items I have bought in egret. Would still recommend them if you like the color. November 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love, love, love these drapes!!!! The quality of these drapes is excellent. The subtle texture adds visual interest. They do not compete with the furniture . The color I chose was egret which goes with everything. August 30, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by very pretty drapes but issues with defects and diference in lengths of panels These are pretty drapes but I had to exchange quite a few to get the same length for most of the panels .Even after exchanging neumerous panels there are still some panels longer than others . it seems Penneys alllows for a 1" tolerance in length and that is very frustrating when you have multiple panels on a large window where there is no furniture positioned to hide the variances in length. Some of the panels had flaws or runs in the fabric and that coupled with the variances in length left me very frustrated. April 9, 2014

Answer:
Egret is in the grey family, but apparently the person who selected the name didn't know that. These are definitely light yellow panels. I returned them as soon as I received them without even opening the package because of the yellow color, not at all what I expected given the pictures on-line & the name "egret". Don't waste your time ordering them if you don't want yellow.

Answer:
The Egret color is more of an off-white/bone color. It's very pretty and goes with pretty much everything.
