Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifl rod and the decorative end are exquisite.. We recently bought a new home and it has 3 windows together in the family room. We had shades installed and do not like the look of the rollers. I'm planning to make a valance to hang at the top of the window to cover the rollers. Very pleased with the appearance of the rods as it goes well with the floor and decorative knobs on cabinets and door nobs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good quality...looks great...very sturdy The various JCP sales did not include Umbra products...so I paid the full price...thus value rated average. The rod looks black online...it is actually a very dark brown...a plus for me. Each rod comes with three brackets. For one of the brackets, the screw holding the rod secure would not tighten...as the hole was a bit too large for the screw. Not a problem for me...as I need only one center bracket for my widest window...I bought three Umbra rods. The JCP ad lists the minimum rod length as 72 inches...not true! Each rod is in three pieces...left, right and a center rod that fits inside the other two rods. The left and right rods each measure 4' 2" (50 inches)...so minimum length would be 8'4" (100 inches). Again, not a problem for me. If I had needed a shorter length, I suppose a hacksaw would have solved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The curtain rod worked extremely well and we're very pleased. The curtain rod worked extremely well and we're very pleased with the results of the rod and curtains we purchased at JC Penney. The curtains display a rich quality and timelessness to our window. I'm also pleased with the colors I selected for the rod and curtains. They enhance the entire living room and add an elegance to the wall and compliment our furnishings as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't have bought a better curtain rod! Our dining room has a very large window that covers part of a twelve foot wall. I had ordered another rod from another company, but it didn't work out because it didn't hold up the heavy curtains. So I turned to J.C.Penney's to see what they might have. I found the perfect rod called Umbra Marbello. I had it installed and was totally satisfied with everything about it. The rod is a beautiful bronze tone and very sturdy. Thank you for carrying such great products.

Can The Brackets For This Rod Be Attached to the Ceiling?

I do not have the 3" clearance for the rods to be wall mounted. So will the brackets secure the rod if they are mounted to the ceiling?
Asked by: Nick
I suppose, depends on the look your going for.

I have a 36" window that I want this rod for. Is it necessary to use a bracket for support?

Asked by: daretobeme2
I wouldn't use any more than 2 end brackets on a 36 inch window. This rod is very sturdy.

How much weight will this rod hold?

I'm having trouble finding rods for drapes that were homemade. They are extremely heavy (close to 50 lbs for the set).
Asked by: Cleomobile
36-72” rod should hold about 22 lbs
