Rated 5 out of 5 by from Substantial and easy to install These curtain rods came well-packaged and with easy-to-understand instructions. Putting them up was easy, and the hardware ensures that curtain rods do not slide back and forth when opening/closing curtains. The gunmetal color matches the "gunmetal" grommet color of the curtains I purchased perfectly. The extension up to 108" works with telescoping rods, so they are not the same diameter all the way across. At first, the way to set-up the extension rods was not intuitive, but we figured it out after just a few moments. Where the smaller rod extends from the original, there is a thin black plastic ring that helps hold everything in alignment. At first, I found this distracting when looking at the set-up because it is quite noticeable against the gunmetal of the rods. But I have gotten used to it. That ring does catch the grommets when opening/closing the curtains, but it's not a huge inconvenience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Rod, Not Easy to Find Matching Clip Rings I too had a difficult time finding a double rod set that would extend past 120 inches and this one is just wonderful, only it was difficult for me to find clip rings in a size and color that would match the inner rod. The ones JC Penney sells in the pewter color in the Umbra brand are fine for the outer road but in my opinion are too large for the inner rod, plus they are a bit pricey. I tried finding them elsewhere, and what an adventure that turned out to be. Even in other brands that had a color that would match this (or come close) they were either too large or too small. I never thought buying clip rings would be so difficult. To make matters more complicated, I think the Umbra company is switching from the pewter color to a satin nickel, which is much brighter and will not go with this rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it so much I bought 5 more! I really love the look of these rods- they are substantial and hearty-looking but not as expensive as a lot I have seen. They look really elegant but not overly-feminine, a great balance of style. We have ten foot ceilings so I wanted a finial that would be substantial enough to not look puny in such large rooms. I bought them for our bedroom because they were one of the few that went wide enough for our large window and ended up buying 5 more to complete our bedroom and added them to the guest room as well. The only caution I have is be careful moving the rods around with the screws in the support brackets, they can scratch the rods. Luckily I am using rod pocket curtains so scratches can't be seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! Finding an extended length double curtain rod proved to be quite a search. Anything I found was high-quality but way too pricey, or affordable and low-quality. This rod is a great price and is made very well! I'm very happy with my purchase. Easy to install, and seems heavy duty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy addition to curtains The silver color coupled with the round ball on the ends is very classy. I purchased this on a friends and family promo, and the price was excellent. Some of the other choices that Penny's carries are quite pricey!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Curtain Rods at an Affordable Price My wife and I recently purchased this curtain rod set and are very pleased with both the quality and appearance. It really sets off the room and gives a luxurious appearance to the curtains.

Telescoping to full length will cause a dip in the rod, and/or the weight of the drapes pull it down, w/o a center support bracket.

Answer:
Yes, the finial ball and finial cap for each rod can be added or removed. It is a screw-in feature that is optional (included separately in box).

Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your question.

Yes you can certainly remove either of the finials. In order to do so all you need to do is simply unscrew it from the rod.

Thank you,
UMBRA
