by Karebair Understated elegance, could use better hardware
I purchased three Umbra Capta curtain rods for JCP's "Fenice" panels, to match the comforter set. The plum color of the window panels is fairly vibrant, so I wanted a rod that was more subdued. The matte finish looks great with the plum color. The design is simple yet attractive. I do agree about the less than stellar mounting hardware that came with the rods. My husband rummaged through the garage and found some sturdier anchors, that's why I'm knocking off a star in my rating.

by HFIATLANTA Great Product
As an interior designer, I am always looking for affordable drapery hardware. We used these rods with the Royal Velvet JCP brand of rings in a Dark Nickel finish and it matched perfectly. We ordered one small size rod & the large size rod. The small size was only installed at a 48" width, so we left off the center bracket. Luckily, we were able to use it with the large rod ( used at 120" length) along with the 3rd bracket that came with this one. So we now have 4 brackets to keep the rod from buckling over time & appears very sturdy when installed properly. It was perfect for our project. I did notice some scratching that arrived on all of the finials but with them fully screwed in, you cannot see it.

I bought three of these rods for my living room. I liked the color of these rods and the simple design will go well with any decor. But there are a few things that I do not like about them. The anchors that screw into the wall that hold the ends of the rods in place are pretty thin and flimsy and I was surprised that they bend quite easily. The longer rod has a piece of plastic that is supposed to hold it together where the two pieces meet in the center but it doesn't stay in place well and the rod keeps falling apart. The part of the anchors at the ends where the rod slides into and attaches to the wall is a full circle so you cant just lift the rod up, slide your curtains on and set it back down in the anchor. You have to completely slide it out of the anchor. Because of the way this is designed you need two people to hang curtains on the large rod. Otherwise the rod could come apart and bend the anchors in the process, which is what happened to me. I was hanging sheer lightweight curtains and I only had two panels on the rod at the time so I don't think there was nearly enough weight to bend them that easily. Overall I don't care for how these are designed and I think they are made poorly. Had I taken the time to really look at them closely in the store I never would have bought them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LUVmyrods This product is just outstanding
I never though a curtain rod could do the things this thing can. its amazing. I mean how else could I describe a curtain rod. It's straight, I mean really straight. I am compelled to say this may be the straightest curtain rod I've ever seen. Would you believe it holds curtains. you should see it. All day and into the night. this thing never stops. I'm so impressed I purchased three more for the other windows in the same room. I have to say that I could not live another day if I had not purchased these AMAZING curtain rods. I encourage anyone that doesn't have these to throw out all of you current curtain rod and these must be install immediately if not sooner

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kathy This was not the size listed. Do not buy
This was too long for my windows. When you put the 2 sides to get her it stuck out from the sides or the window by 6 " each side
We had to SAW OFF 4" each side. And my window size was listed on the carton

Do not like the way it mounts on the brackets. You have top run the rods through ring brackets and makes it very hard to put the curtains on
