Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely I ordered a bunch of these panels in silver sage for my bedroom. They are beautiful drapes--perhaps not as good as custom-made, but still quite lovely. (I may be unfairly comparing them to custom-made, hence the "good" quality rating instead of "excellent.") Out of the package they were wrinkled, but I'll steam out the wrinkles if they don't come out by simply letting them hang for awhile. They're light in weight but hang well (better than the non-thermal lined panels). The back tabs make them so easy to hang. Their thermal lining is separate (not fused to the panel fabric) and adds a welcome layer of insulation to my "insulating" top-down-bottom-up shades. The regular price for these panels is too high, but I ordered them during one of JCP's recent sales at 40% off plus "buy 1 get the 2nd for 1 cent" deals: A great buy! I don't know how durable they'll be, but the fabric used is not cheap. And the color I got is lovely: a soft, soothing green. I'm very happy with these panels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product Not Very Heavy These drapery panels, so-called "thermal", replaced my old jcp drapes from many years ago. As with many new jcp products, these drapes are not near the quality of the old drapes. I'm sure they won't last as long, either. The new drapes are not heavy, for thermal drapes, nor do they block a lot of light coming through the window. Also, because they were packed very tightly in a small plastic bag, they were very wrinkled. I did manage to iron them, taking out some of the creases I wanted, along with the many wrinkles, with great effort and lots of time and patience. I am disappointed in the lack of quality in this product. My old drapes took lots of UV so had to be replaced, but I should have shopped around for a better product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good buy on versatile curtains This was the 2nd pair of thermal lined curtains that I purchased so obviously I am happy with them. First, let's talk about their versatility. You can hang them different ways. Now a days, pinch pleated curtains and drapes are rarer and rarer. I wanted to use a traverse rod so I had to get curtains I could attach hooks to and these fit the bill. You can also thread a rod through them as well. They come folded so expect some packing wrinkles. That wasn't a problem for us because we have a steamer and they came right out. Both times I purchased these curtains on sale and consider them a good value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too messy. I ordered these curtains and they were a mess. You can't iron them because of the pleats. I sent them back and got some that were thermal lined thinking they may look better. Wrong! Then I ordered again and they were worse. There is no way these curtains would ever straighten out on their own and I didn't know what to do with them. Maybe I just don't know what to do with these type of curtains. I bought new rods and got the curtains that slide on the rods and I like them a lot. They hardly had to be ironed when I received them. Such nice material. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Royal Velvet Curtains The curtains were too long, but that was my fault, but after hanging them, I like the way they fell on the floor. I was shocked that only one curtain came in a package, and it became a little bit over my budget, but I loved the quality of the curtains, the rich fabric and the fact that now the curtains have loops so you don't have to use those metal hooks that I always stick in my finger. Overall, this was a great investment. I recommend this product, a bit pricey, but worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product...Only 1 Problem I like the pinch pleat drapes I purchased....they have helped enormously with the heat beating through the south window. They look nice, and I was able to obtain them in a 63" length, so I didn't have to pay for costly alterations. My only problem was I am using a traverse rod, so that requires the use of hooks in the headers. The description said you could use the hooks that slide in on either side of the pleat stitching. NO WAY could you ever use that type of hook in these panels. I could barely get the regular style of hook into the pleat. I have had lots of pinch pleat drapes in my lifetime, but this is the only set where the pleats were stitched shut so getting the hook in was next to impossible. If you buy these, I would suggest using some metal thimbles when you insert the hooks to protect your fingertips. I stabbed myself twice as I struggled to insert the straight hooks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Color The place I live in was built in the early 1900's so finding color that works with the woodwork has been a challenge. These curtain colors are elegant and do not appear tacky or cheap next to the detailed woodwork. I strongly recommend these curtains if you have an older home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Drapes - Excellent Quality I have two sets of these drapes. One for Fall and Winter and another for Spring and Summer. You definitely get good quality with these. My first set of drapes is over 10 years old and is still going on strong.

How thick of a rod could I use with these pinch-pleat/back tab curtains? The rods previously had grommet curtains that just fit.

Asked by: Caryn
I think you could use a rod 3" in diameter, if you use the back tab. The back tab is very generous in size. I guess about 4 1/2 inches. If you use the pinch pleat , then the rod is standard. Hope this helps.

Has anyone experienced or complained about an odor with these drapes?

The drapes cover windows on three sides of the room so the odor (smell of bad feet) is quite prevalent. The drapes have hung for over a month put the smell is still there.
Asked by: Retired
I didn't notice any smell with the pair we received.
