Rated 5 out of 5 by from These rods were easy to install and are very durable. My mom loved my new curtain rods....so much....that she ordered some as well. And yes, because they were easy to install, were able to do install them for her, too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good. Easy installation. The rod looks great! The bronze color is very rich.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice quality I purchased this same curtain rod again in silver for another room. Both look lovely. :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible curtain rod The brackets on this rod are awful. Not adjustable and can't drop the rod in. Have to feed them through the loop in the bracket and it takes 2 people to get the curtains up. Difficult to screw brackets into the wall because of the bracket angle. One of the finials came apart when removing and took several minutes to get it back together. Rod also scratches easily. Don't know where these rods were made but they're the worst I've ever dealt with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product is exactly what we needed We ordered 3 different sized rods to hold 84" panel drapes as well as valences (in different widths). The rods are exactly what we wanted. When we first installed, we thought they may not be strong enough to withstand the weight of the drapes but product came with more than enough supporting brackets. The end caps are wood (not plastic) which was important to us. We felt the price was very reasonable! Would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent purchase! I needed a two sturdy rods to hold my winter insulated extra large curtain for the sliding glass doors in our bedroom and kitchen. All the other ones I looked at were flimsy and cheap and would probably bend/bow within a week. I took a chance on this one and ordered two. They are perfect! Very sturdy and have no trouble holding up the curtains without bowing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job- white isn't white This is well made and was quickly installed, but was disappointed that a rod called "white" is a cream color. I kept it anyway, but it will bug me. You cannot lift this rod from the brackets- it must be slid from one side to the other, and with a middle bracket, it makes hanging the curtains a bit of an effort.
Date published: 2017-01-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality what can I say, it's a curtain rod. But I have to admit that for the price range they are much better quality than I expected. Also I was elated to find that the ends are screw on/off types instead of the flimsy little thumb screw on the side (hate those). Definitely recommend.

Finials can be removed as there are threads at the end of the rods where they screw in. Easy!

I'm considering this to add drapes to a sliding door however I want to be able to pull all drapes to one side. Having a middle bracket makes this impossible.

Answer:
It comes with a middle bracket, but I didn't use it. They are lightweight and depending on how heavy your curtains are, it should be okay

Answer:
I felt the same way - wanted to be able to move my drapes all the way across the window, so my husband was able to line the extender with small "splints" which keeps it sturdy. We've had our drapes hanging for over 3 weeks and there is no bowing!

Answer:
We have the 86-120 rod and the "extender" is in the middle so there will be bowing if you don't use the middle bracket.

Answer:
Yes, you need the middle bracket. Perhaps the sheerest of curtains could get away without the center support but I wouldn't recommend it.

Answer:
If your drapes have any weight to them at all, you'll need a center bracket. If you're hanging extremely light weight curtains or sheers, you'll be okay without it.

I want to have cotton/poly grommeted drapes to bunch without much volume when not in use, but pull across when we want a bit of privacy over a 101 width sliding glass doorway. I need to put up a rod and then buy curtains. How much width of curtain should I buy and will a one inch rod work well?

Yes it's perfect - you could even go larger with no problem. We have the 1" and there is more than enough space for easy opening/closing.

I've used that sized for grommet curtains and have had no issue opening and closing them. They also look very nice. You wouldn't want to go smaller - it doesn't look nice.

I have blinds that I would like to put curtains over to further darken the room as the room is still too bright (direct sunlight). I would like to know the distance from the wall to the rod to see if it will be able to easily go over the blinds.

Answer:
If your blinds are tucked up into the casing of your window, this rod will work. When mounted on my wall, it is 6.5 inches to the rod where it rests in the curl of the bracket.
