Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, Quality Rod It is difficult to find double rods. It is even more difficult to find quality rods. JCPenney never disappoints regarding the quality of their rods. I ordered this one in antique pewter as this one isn't available in brushed nickel. It is simplistically beautiful. The color and appearance is true to the image posted, and everything was packaged very well so as to protect the rod from damage/marring of the finish. I have not rated the durability as it is new and I cannot comment on that at this point, but expect it to last as it appears to be made of quality materials. I highly recommend this rod. I rated the rod an excellent value as it was on sale and I also had a percent off coupon. It was still not inexpensive, but was an excellent value considering the quality of the item. The regular price is quite pricey, but this rod is not resin or painted plastic like the majority of rods that are sold elsewhere, and so the adage that you get what you pay for rings true -- hope when you are shopping for rods that JCPenney has them on sale and you'll be even happier with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am so pleased with the products purchased and the high level of customer service I received from Betty T. & Sam S. the both helped so much. I am so very pleased with the highest level of customer service I received, from Betty T & Sam S.. I had a preconceived idea what I wanted although I had never worked with the type of curtains I purchased. Betty T. worked with me and through all the concerns I had, her expertise and knowledge of her product help make the final result stunning far far more beautiful than I had imagined and the color was perfect. I past experiences have left me feeling that customers did not matter, kind of like empty . I've been bragging about my experience at J.C. Penney's, their employees have product knowledge & outstanding customer service. You cannot teach the level of customer service Betty T. has. Thank You Carla Wilton

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What I neeeded Simple, traditional design curtain rod that I used above the windows in the dining room, living room and family room. I purchased 6 rods (3 double and 3 single) in two different sizes for use and have hung them all now. Being able to select the color was key for me so I could match the rods to the rest of the rooms' decor. The only words of caution I would give to others when purchasing & installing are: 1) Do not intend to use the rods to their maximum length unless placing light weight fabric on them because more expanded the rod gets, the weaker it is in the middle. Plan on having at least 2 to 3 inches of overlap of the inner rod and outter rod for stability and preventing a sag in the middle. 2) When installing the brackets, do not place them too close to the window trim because the curtains can't cover the brackets leaving the window trim work exposed (not attractive).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Never met a more frustrating bracket The rods are ok if you get the smaller sizes. The larger ones really sag unless you use the middle brackets, which brings me to my summary... these brackets have to be the most frustrating thing I've ever worked with. Once you drill the holes into the wall, it is impossible to drill in the screws with the angle between the parts of the brackets that hold the curtains and the holes in the brackets. In order to avoid stripping the screws you must use a hand held screw driver, but still the angle almost guarantees that you must strip the screw in order to get it flush. Horrible design on the brackets. Give me a little space on the brackets, so I'm not ready to destroy the whole thing before I'm done. Anyone with any ideas on how to make this process easier, I would be all ears.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look I purchased this and it looks very elegant in my living room. I love the decorative hooks that you hang them actual rod on and the color is exactly how it is pictured online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look of this drapery rod and goes well with my decor. I purchased seven of these drapery rods for my new home. They work well with the décor and allow me to use sheers and drapes without extra rods.

Number of brackets included for 48-86" rod?

How many brackets come with the 48-86" rod? I'm wondering if there are three... would like to have a center bracket for support in the middle.

Does the front rod sit a bit higher than the back rod?

I'm planning to use clip rings to hang the front curtain panel and want to make sure the sheers on the back rod won't show at the top. Thanks.
Asked by: Gigerina
You can attach them them either way

Can I buy just one replacement bracket? I was trying to remove the curtain to wash it and the opposite bracket just broke. So I need a replacement.

Once it broke it looks like plastic, not metal. Whatever it is made of I still need a replacement. Is it available?
Asked by: judy
No, we do not sell replacement brackets for these.

Do the finials come off? How big are the finials?

One of my windows is in a corner and I don't have much room between the frame and wall. I am hoping I can remove one finial and have the rod go to the wall at the corner.
Asked by: GIna
The Prescott finial is 1.6” W and has a depth of 2.11”.
