Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basic, everyday traverse rod for daily use Great for average use or lighter-weight curtains & window/door openings that aren't super wide. I don't recommend this one for heavy drapes, nor for wider than average windows, as it doesn't feel strong enough for that. It's a basic style, but very functional. This is a Sweepstakes Entry review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Low Quality Already came as scratched and corner curled up. The box came in as squeezed up too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Rod This a nice heavy duty rod for a 102" window. Looks and works well and does not sag in the center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These curtain rods work great! These curtain rods are very sturdy and work smoothly. They were easy to install. Installing them greatly improved the look of our family room and improved our enjoyment in using the room. They look so much neater than tab top or other similar curtains and are so much nicer and easier to use! I grew up with this style of curtains and I wish they would catch on again - they are the best!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sweepstakes Entry Product great but I ordered the incorrect length; should have been two 78" rods! Will make do as too expensive to reorder and find installers. Big bummer! But the JCPenny rods are great. Sweepstakes Entry

Do I have to use Desyne rod sliders with this rod? Or can I use the traditional metal pin drapery hooks?

Asked by: Susan
We used the traditional pins

Can this rod be mount to the ceiling?

Is there hardware included for ceiling mount?
Asked by: Evalarad
You'd be better off to use one specifically designed for ceiling mounting. I'll list 2 here.

I want to mount this over vertical blinds, but only see mention of allowing 2 1/4 inches for clearance - I need 4 1/4". Will this work?

Asked by: Yiska
The Rod Desyne Heavy Duty Center traverse adjustable curtain Rod is wonderful, Though I like to look out a clear window without any other blinds. I think it would be very tight, I really don't see you ever being able to open your vertical blinds, or having room to even put the header on top of the vertical blinds.. I think it's either one or the other. CRL.

How much weight per linear foot does this hold?

I have TWO 22lb panels (each panel 22lbs) lined blackout drapes purchased at JCPenney. Will this hold them? Do you have a better option for that weight of drape?
Asked by: Audra
We started with this one because it was the type we were used to, however, there is one more durable & slightly more attractive - if that's possible. :) I'll post it with this reply.
