Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lower Rise than Expected. Super Short. I really loved the style of these pants and JCP didn't have them in a tall size, so I thought I'd try a regular inseam. They are super short ... I need just a 33.5-34" inseam and I think these were closer to barely 30". I'm built straight up and down, with not much of a waist and narrow hips and thighs and a normal/regular belly. These pants were big in the waist and tight in the thighs, which is normally a good fit for my body type, but not with these. There is no string at the waist to adjust them, and the rise is so low, (maybe an 8" rise??) that there would be no way they would stay up. I couldn't go up a size to have a bigger thigh bc then the waist and butt would be huge. Still, they are very nicely made and the seaming on them made them really flattering. Had they been available in a tall length I would have repurchased them and taken them to a tailor to take them in at the waist, bc I really did like them that much. Bummer! JCP -- you say you sell Talls, but they're rarely ever available!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What the heck? Where are my pants?! I have 10 pairs of these pants. I wear them every day to work, gym, everywhere. That being said, I just purchased 2 blacks and 2 grays to keep my stock up (they're saved in my favorites so I know I ordered the same ones as always). I was just going to hang them in the closet but decided to try them on just to make sure of the fit, etc. Imagine my surprise when I had to shimmy into them. If I wanted a girdle, I would have bought one. So here's my scathing review of these miserable pants: I am 5'4" with an inseam of 30". The average length is not. NEW inseam=33-1/4". ORIGINAL=32". NEW rise=11". ORIGINAL=10". The NEW Slim-Fit cut is 1/2" more narrow than the ORIGINAL (N=8-1/4" at knee vs O=8-3/4" at the knee). The fabric content has not changed so I do not understand the difference in the feel of the fabric but it does feel thinner, cheaper. The country of origin has not changed either. The only thing that has changed is the pattern shape. Finally analysis: The new pattern sits higher on the waist, is longer on the length, and slimmer on the leg. If this is how the pants are going to continue I will be taking them off my favorites list because nobody should have to shimmy into their clothes-ever.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as Quick dry as it states. I sweat a lot so I want too happy to see the sweat marks in particular areas. But very comfortable to work out in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not The Same Fit or Length of Xersion Slim-Fit Previous Pant Styles These are not the same pants they used to be, the rise is lower, the inseam shorter (about 1" in both measurements) and fit just isn't how it was in last season's Xersion Slim-Fit pants (the styles that were available in short, regular and long length). I'd say these are between short and regular, not even regular length (30" inseam?). They may work for shorter women, but not someone who needs a 31-32" inseam and is on the taller side. Sure wish JCPenny would bring back the older version of Xersion Slim-Fit pants! (The pants always sold out quickly, so I do not know why they have been discontinued or are no longer available.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True to size and comfortable These pants are very comfortable. I am no longer able to wear tight pants or jeans due to an illness so I began the search for something looser fitting. I was a bit unsure of what to get but when I saw these I decided to give them a try. I wear them when we are out running errands and for doctor appts, etc. As for size I am 5'3" & 160 lbs and I wear the "XL Short" but can also wear size "L Short" if I want the legs to be a bit tighter (but the tummy and waist are also more snug in the size "Large", ha!). Hope this helps, I always wish people would give their size and weight so I could know if I would be able to wear things.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from BRING BACK the orignial Xersion Slim-Fit pants!! BRING BACK the original Xersion Slim-Fit pants!! They were my ultimate yoga pants. The waist on the new pant is too low that I fear to bend over, unless I am pulling and holding my top down of my backside with one hand! They were of a nice weight fabric, so comfortable and durable. They were so awesome I kept going back to the store and checking online. After several months they finally were available so I bought two pair....but was so disappointed. The waist is too low. I will be looking elsewhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality but........ Regarding the fabric and construction, these pants are comparable to other brands that are much more expensive. But what happened to the fit? I have ALWAYS worn a large at JCP in this brand. Now suddenly I have to size up - and I have actually lost weight lately. I suppose some people want their pants to be skin tight but I don't. And I also don't get the low rise trend, either. Just not very comfortable, IMHO. Be aware that this particular pant is labeled SLIM CUT, which is not pointed out in the description. That would be helpful to know before ordering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Workout Pants I bought these for my daughter, she has gone through extreme weight loss in the past few years. She loves to workout now and really likes these pants. She tells me they fit really well and any area where she has loose skin on her legs, it holds it tight! She said they are very comfortable!

Answer:
This isn't a direct answer to your question but it may help. I measured the inseam of the "XL Short" and it is 28" and the inseam of size "L Short" is 26 1/2". Both measurements are after months of washing in cold water & drying on Permanent Press cycle. I'd also like to know what the inseam of a Petite is. Sorry, hope it helps anyway.

Answer:
The short size has to do with the actual inseam of the pant. For example, the Missy pant length has a 31 inch inseam and the short inseam has a 29” inseam. With these sizes, additional adjustments aren't made anywhere else on the pant. The petite on the other hand, has a shorter rise and inseam. So the rise of the pant will fit in proportion to the body. So, if you have shorter legs but a longer torso, go with the short inseam. If you have a shorter torso and legs, go with the petite. I hope this helps!
