Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stays up but shape isn't a favourite I have wasted so much money on strapless/multiway bras. Thankfully this one isn't in that category but it still isn't the best. For a strapless bra some of my requirements are that it stays up, doesn't make me look like my boobs are down by my waist and has a good shape at the front, I don't like it when bras separate your boobs so much that they end up rubbing against my arms and making both arms and boobs sore. This bra fully fulfils two of these requirements; it stays up really well, the rubber/silicone (not sure what it's made of) used in the manufacture to hold the bra in place has been well thought out and they have not skimped on it, there's enough to ensure a good hold. Because of this the bra also holds everything in place so that they don't look like a sausage wrapped around my waist! However, it does separate more than I would like, resulting in them being pushed out towards my arms and causing soreness (maybe I have super sensitive skin/nerves?!). I'm 5'7", weigh 152 lbs and wear a size 36DD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Lift and Coverage/Very comfortable As a formerly very large woman I have always stayed away from clothing that necessitated wearing a strapless bra. Last week I had occasion to need one for a dress I bought for a party. I was going to buy one online but got scared off by so many negative comments on many different models and styles, but mostly that they run small. I went into JC Penney to try them on, and if necessary, get a new dress that didn't need a strapless bra. This bra was wonderful. I went up a back size, same cup size. Fit and felt beautiful. Bought it and wore it for a day to make sure I'd be comfortable at party. It was great. I don't wear underwires on a daily basis and was surprised how comfortable it felt and how it held up. No constant pulling it up! Got lots of compliments on my look so I guess it did the job. I highly recommend this bra. LOVE IT! Note: I buy all my lingerie in JCP now....great selection, price and fit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Full Figure Strapless I am a very busty woman and shopping for bras is a hassle for me. My husband happened to pick out this brand. He and I had no idea this bra was strapless until I went to the dressing room to try it on. Without the straps! I bought two! Wore the all day for a week and still feel support without having to readjust!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bra But Runs small Overall the bra was great, very versatile. It just ran really small. I've gotten other bras in this line that were 38 around. Because i saw this one was smaller, i got a 40 and it was still tight. You can tell it was tight even with clothes over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beyond Disappointed I LOVED the old Ambrielle Convertible bra...the only bra I've ever really liked...cannot find any bra to match it..and believe me I've bought A LOT the past couple years...was thrilled when I learned Ambrielle was coming back!!! Only to find out this is a totally different style than the old one....this bra is ordinary, does not lift and support like I need...if you've ever had a great bra that fits you perfect and gives you the look you want then you will understand how I feel...I've never felt more confident and sexy as I did with the old style....when Ambrielle had their website where we as customers could go on and give recommendations on what we want in a bra we practically helped design it....I gave a lot of feedback on that site and I felt like JC Penney really did care about what we wanted...please bring the old bra designs back

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing is off... I ordered my regular size 36 DD and the bra was too tight! I could barely close it on the last row of hook and eye fasteners. It was uncomfortable and even more so when I sat down - the underwire dug into my ribs. I really liked the bra because of the way that they made the band with elastic if you need it, but also snug so that it can stay in place. I also liked the fact that there were 4 rows of hook and eye fasteners. I reordered in size 38 DD, but it was too big in the cup. I could pinch fabric in the front of the bra. I think I need a 36 DDD in this brand, which they do not carry in this style bra! I would suggest to size up a letter, ie., if you wear a D cup order DD! Unfortunately, I will have to return both sizes. I'm very disappointed because I need a good strapless bra! Women with larger breast like to wear halter style clothing too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ambrielle convertible bra My daughter has tried on more than a dozen strapless bras and they are all too skimpy with not enough support. She love this bra when she put it on, because it fully covered her and felt secure. The fact that she can reattach the straps and wear it every day delighted her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bra for a great price. High quality convertible bra that is excellent for those who need good support, but it does not sacrifice the looks to provide it. I purchased this for my future daughter in law as she had been seeking just the right garment for use under her halter style wedding dress.

can this bra convert to a halter that attaches in center of bra?

Asked by: bonnie
When you say in the centre of the bra I am assuming you mean in the middle at the front. If so, no it can't. You could however, add some ribbon attachments to give this capability, the straps are plenty long enough.
