Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket. The quality of this jacket is right up there with the big names, very light and comfortable. I do wish the hood was removable but still recommend it and it's a great price too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice coat. Purchased on sale and found was a great value for this puffer coat. My son was wanting an all red puffer coat and we found it on line at JCPenney! Great value and nice coat. He's ready for the next snow day!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Winter Jacket The blue we chose is beautiful! The heat baffling is wide, but the weight of down is good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good fit. Good value I bought this for each of my two sons. I like the bottom tightening adjustable elastic. I wish the wrists had elastic but everything else is great for keeping warm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Coat looks good Wasn't very happy with the bright color but no black option available. It doesn't tell the 'down' rating but feels ok for about 32 degrees.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warmth I was hoping this coat would be a little thicker. However, it IS great for getting in and out of the car when going to work and shopping.
Date published: 2016-12-13
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not heavy duty or warm The jacket is not very warm. The sleeves have no seal or cuffs adjustment. Also some down is peeking thru the outer shell.

Is this for extreme frigid temps? Thks!

I have a friend who lives in Mass. As we all know, the winter temps there can be brutal. Would this coat with the down filling be about as warm a coat as is available from Penny's?
Asked by: Jesse
I would not consider this a sub zero coat without another good layer underneath. The wide baffling makes it so that there are "cold" lines. However, I would say it is a good 20-30 degree coat.

What "fill" of down does it contain? From 450-900?

Wondering how much down it contains.
Asked by: JRSol
It says 80% duck down if that helps. I live in central Georgia w/ hi humidity in winter. It works great here but I'm not convinced it would be enough for northern tier states
