Folding a fitted sheet is frustrating and one of the most difficult things to do. Luckily, our JCPenney experts are here to help. Simply watch the video and follow the step-by-step instructions to get a fitted sheet that will lie flat in the linen closet. No more rolling up your sheets into a messy ball!
Step 1: Hold the sheet with hands inside two corner pockets
Before you begin, ensure you have enough space and a flat surface like a table or a bed (you will need it later). Then, start off with the sheet inside out. Grab two corners on the long side of the fitted sheet.
Step 2: Bring together and hold both corners in one hand
Now, bring your hands together to fold one corner of the sheet over the other. It will help gain complete control over the movement of the sheet.
Step 3: Flip to fold corner inside the other, extend to straighten
Simply flip the sheet to fold the corner inside the other and straighten out the edges. Your sheet will be square and already look neat.
Step 4: Lay sheet on a flat surface, tuck edges, and fold
You can lay the sheet on the bed or table and fold the excess fabric to create a rectangle. Then, fold the rectangle into thirds and fold the long strip into thirds or quarters. It’s done! You’ve just learned how to fold a fitted sheet in under one minute.
