Wearing the wrong bra size can trigger backaches and cause redness of the skin and discomfort. It can also affect your posture. Hence, it’s important to pick bras that are perfect for you. JCPenney helps you pick the right size bra for yourself at the comfort of your home in two simple steps.
Find your Band Size
What is a band size?
Band size is the measurement around your rib cage just below your breasts. It’s indicated with numbers like 32, 34, 36, and so on.
When measuring your band size, make sure to wear either a lightly lined or unpadded bra. Wrap a measuring tape snugly across your back, and measure directly under your bust to the nearest even number. If you note a fraction, simply round down to the nearest even number.
Find your Cup Size
What is a cup size?
Cup size is the volume of your breasts. It’s indicated as A, B, C, D, and so on.
Wrap the measuring tape around your back at band level and measure across the fullest part of your chest. If the tape falls on a half-inch, round it up as you did for band size. Every inch equals one cup size. For example: 1 inch is an A cup, 2 inches is a B cup, etc.
Combine your band and cup sizes together, like 32A, 36C, 38D, and so on. That’s your bra size!
