It’s about that time…time to get in the ho-ho-holiday mood. Bring out the decorations, trim the tree, light the house and get festive. There are two cozy ways to dress up your house and yourself that will always ignite the Christmas cheer: stockings and sweaters.
Christmas Stockings
Hanging on the mantel, stockings bring instant Christmas spirit to your home. You can choose to have all the stockings in your family match or each person could have their own unique one. Perhaps it represents an interest or pop culture references like Star Wars or Harry Potter. Go extra traditional with red, white or green colors. Get it monogrammed with a name or just an initial so Santa knows which one to put the naughty coal or the nice presents. And, of course, you must have a stocking holder to keep the stocking hung at just the right height and angle on the fireplace mantel. Once again, you can make them all matching and traditional such as reindeers, Santas, snowman or nutcrackers. Or, invite Mickey or Minnie Mouse to hold up the kids stockings. Any style of stockings you choose will be perfect for your family. Just make sure they’re large enough to hold all the goodies.
Christmas Sweaters for All
A Christmas sweater can be festive, funny or fabulous (or all three really). Going to a not-so-swanky Christmas party and need an ugly Christmas sweater to lighten the mood? You could win the best ugly sweater contest by finding one that’s the most outrageous of them all. Light-up versions can really bring the bling. A simple pullover sweater for women or men can be the instant winter wardrobe. Pair with jeans and boots and you’ve got a cozy look any day during the holidays. For the kids, dress them in sweaters or sweater vests embroidered with iconic holiday symbols, such as holly, reindeer, snowflakes and more. It’s easy to dress him up in one of these 3-piece sets. Don’t forget your pets! They deserve a cheerful holiday sweater or bandana too! Deck the furry friend out in plaids, prints, or costumes. Snow much fun!
