Take Care

Care labels can only take you so far. Soak up the following insider tips to extend the life of your towels and ensure they maintain their softness and absorbency.

Tip # 1

Wash towels once with like colors before the first use. This helps set color, reduce lint and improve absorbency. Some lint may occur in the first few launderings but will dimish over time. This linting is natural and does not impact the performance, look, or feel of your towel.

Tip #2

Avoid using fabric softeners or dryer sheets, which can leave a residue and reduce absorbency. Dry at a medium temperature, as high temperatures can reduce the towel’s soft texture.

Tip # 3

Keep in mind that makeup and certain skincare treatments (such as those with benzoyl peroxide or alpha hydroxy acids) can spot and bleach towels. If using skin products with peroxide or acids, stick to using white towels if possible.

Tip #4

Adding a cup of distilled white vinegar to the wash periodically will fight that musty towel smell. Added bonus: this also will remove residue and improve absorbency.

Tip #5

Although vinegar can go a long way in helping to refresh your towels, you’ll still need the cleaning power of detergents. When using a laundry pod, ensure the pod is placed in the washer before your towels for the best results.
